I got a couple of hits of acid, and was wondering if it would be a good idea to see a 3-d imax movie while tripping. I think that would be pretty awesome, but i don't wanna have a bad trip and start freaking out. Has anyone everdone this?
in my experience, having any set plans or places to be was always a bad idea, also being in cars wasnt the best for me. once had to take a city bus to the a show though, ended up bein quite the adventure, although i did lose my ticket and had to find a new one.
I think that would be cool, but the public setting of a movie theater might suck. Also, that could get a little intense lol. But like dude said before me, having set plans almost never works out.
I did this for Sharks in 3D on Imax. I actually took the 3 hits about 5 minutes before the movie. It was only 45 minutes long, so by the end I was just starting to feel it come on. Weird thing is we went straight to the beach afterwards, but it was gorgeous and a great tripping experience, no paranoia about sharks attacking us.
my first time ever doing acid i took 2 hits and went to see Cloverfield. Oh my fucking god. I didn't know it was a movie. It will get *extremely* intense, and that's in a normal movie theater . . . 3d imax shit? fuuuuuuuuuu
What the fuck, man?! Of all the movies to trip and see, why? Have a random and overwhelming urge to scare the shit out of yourself? That movie's not all that great sober, but tripping? I'd've been screaming whilst simultaneously drowning in a puddle of fear.
What about festivals? I dropped ten hits of some potent liquid at bonnaroo and the closest I came to a freak out was when I was convinced the people walking around Centeroo were doing a satanic ritual to amplify the bass from the Beastie Boys. (By the way, when the FUCK did the Beastie Boys become good tripping music? Blew my mind.) That passed after I tuned back into the show. But it kinda felt like the whole energy of the place focused toward a good trip, so maybe Bonnaroo's a bad example of tripping in a semi-public place?
My knowledge of what LSD does to you was limited to what I presumed and what I learned from society in general. I didn't even understand a lot of things that were said to describe it on hipforums. So I wanted to get fucked up and see crazy shit Well, mission accomplished, and that's fun as hell to do, but now I know the best way to do acid. It wasn't, at all. I didn't learn anything about anything, I just had a ridiculously FUN and ridiculously PLEASURABLE time. The massive bowl I smoked right before the movie didn't help. When I was at the ticket booth I completely melted and was non responsive to the employees there, to the point where my friend behind me had to step in and get my ticket for me. I just had a grin plastered to my face and was staring at everything.
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it for your first time. You'll probably be right, but it's best to start with a non-threatening environment rather than jump right into something crazy. While it can potentially be a very fulfilling experience, wait until you've tripped a couple of times. You wouldn't climb a mountain if you hadn't learnt how to walk.
dude with what will be going on in your head you wont need an imax or anything like that. you need tunes, crayons/markers, dim lights, fresh citrus fruit(amazing while tripping), a couple of good friends.
yeah, first time on acid should be done 1) with trusted friend(s) 2) with possibility of being indoors and outdoors 3) with no time limit or responsibilities
Essentially, dont go somewhere were you need to keep track of who you are and what you are doing. ie, when making deals with the public. eg. organising time-based events that require exchange of money and the abidance of rules This means that teh best place is on your own property without any people that you are afraid of. worst place is in a public scene where people are spending money and standing in lines
I went to see one of the harry potter movies (the one with the dementors at the start) in imax the next day. Let me tell you, it as real intense even though I'd slept and had pretty much come down.
yea, your mind is still pretty open and vulnerable for a while after you trip. and I don't mean that in a *easily-brainwashed* way, I just mean that your sensitivity skyrockets.
