I've been thinking of having a sauna or steam room built outside. Anyone have one? I think it would be more relaxing than a jacuzzi. What's your take ?

You should look into a crystal fired sauna. My friend has one, she's an energetic massgae healer intutive or whatever they call themselves. It runs on quartz crystals. The temperature inside never gets above around 25 or 28 degrees and you just MELT in it. Like I'm talking pouring sweat and your not roasting. It is very healing and the most amazing sauna I've ever sat in...hands down I have never sweated like that in my life...tres cool

Building a sauna and bar combination for a fellow in Palm Springs. My wife called wanted to know where i was.Told her i was working at the gay bar.Saunas are cool but you need water to jump in,besides your cooped up in this closet(no puns).i'd go with a jacuzzi.

    hi,

I live in the UK, I have a 6 person hot tub (jacuzzi), I love it, i looked into getting a steam room , the infra red ones are quite cheap in the UK but I think if you want a few friends over to chill out a hot tub is best. What did you want it for , to use socially , for health aspect?

I enjoy a sauna regularly but would never have one at home, as for me it's a social occasion.

I like chillen out in a sauna, but I'd much rather have a jacuzzi, imo
