Thats great,Noela. And as for Beatles songs generally, mine are:

    Strawberry Fields Forever,
    Hey Bulldog,
    Rain,
    Only a Northern Song,
    Penny Lane and
    Tomorrow Never Knows.

Need to visit Liverpool again. Was up there in February.Sitting in the Penny Lane Wine Bar(actually a pub) was magic.Love it up there.

Revolver is so good.I'll never tire of it.Now,if Rain was on there instead of Yellow Submarine....

Hey Bulldog and Only a Northern Song are superb.OANS was meant for Pepper but George Martin didnt think it was good enough.I think it would've fitted on very well, perhaps in place of When I'm 64.
It's All Too Much is a cracking tune too.Theres a 8 minute version on You Tube.

it was strange that in the best of releases the beatles made,i'll follow the sun wasnt on them..but hey bulldog, northern song, and all too much are great tunes indeed...dylan may be regarded as the greatest songwriter, but for amount of hit songs, cant beat lennon/mccartney

Does anyone think that the White Album should have been a single record instead of a double ? George Martin thought this but was over ruled.

I would agree that the white album could be a single album..lot of short/obscure tracks that could be edited out..Wouldnt it have been better if sgt peppers was a double album instead?

Actually,Pepper as a double ,sends me into a joyful spasm. What a thought.Perhaps the original idea ,as in the concept of Liverpool nostalgia ,with the inclusion of SFF and Penny Lane,on sides 1 & 2,and the second disc with Lucy,Mr Kite, etc.
The White as a single album would have been a monster record.
