I turned 21 not too long ago and I am very much enjoying the new freedom... not that i didn't drink before, but now I can go to bars, and don't need my older friends to buy me alcohol.
I used to love Vodka but got sick off it to much, now I like Mike's Hard Lemonade, the occasional Corona, Sparks, and of course, margaritas!!!
I've been trying to get into wine lately. My boyfriend's mom turned me onto White Zinfendel... its pretty good, sweet, but sometimes too bitter for me and makes me cringe.
perhaps i'm drinking the wrong wine? any tips? :cheers2:

You are either a woman, which explains your shitty taste in booze, or a failure of a man.

I recommend Gato Negro, a sublime Chilean wine.

If you are going to drink wine, then the only wine that is appropriate is the 2liter two for one specials for $6 at the bargain section of your local grocery mart.

Wolfblass or most Aussie wines ftw.

Lately I've been into South American wines as well from Chile or Argentina.

try a savigon blanc. Fruity and sweet, without being too sweet. Cheap wine (like white zin) will sometimes have a weird acidic bite. But white zin does have it's place, it gives you a nice buzz(but a bad headache).
You can mix some selzer water, savgnon blac, fruit and juice for an awesome sangria. It's really a nice taste for wine newbies too.
I don;t drinkk too much, but my husband and I love learning about wine and beer and wine tastign.

I will try Savigon Blanc, but wouldn't I like something more sweet? White Zinfendel is ok but very bitter and makes me cringe; Chianto is a little better.
I've been trying to learn more about wines too!

Thunderbird is a good one to..mostly when you just begged for the money on a freeway off ramp, makes it all so much sweeter.
