When did you first become paranoid?

I dont think I am paranoid , I dont trust government or big business but thats just a result of reading history and watching them in practice .
I dont believe the world is as safe as it appears , I dont really believe in the goodness of the police or army or that they will save you .
I have a distopian, survivalist view of the world that comes from my very early childhood

I watched the first survivors series when I was a child and that and the worrys about oil and resource depletion made me conclude that our world society was doomed .

also my parents had simular views to me especially my father , basically he explained to me when I was about 7-8 that our society was set up in such a way we were heading for a crash .

paranoid as I understand it is a irrational fear , I dont think I have that

well y'know what they say...just b/c you're paranoid...doesn't mean to say that they're NOT out to get you LOL

just started to read through the UK thread were ppl introduce themselves...i found your take on life interesting...if a little dark...do you have russian in your blood perchance??? i'm joking...us scousers can't help it...its in our blood...

hmmmmm i'm certainly not a fluffy bunny type of person BUT i'm the opposite of you when it comes to religion...what is the opposite of an atheist called?? a believer???

whereas you believe its all baloney (each to their own...) i am open to all faiths (like a 7/11???) & believe all are valid & have truth & teaching in them. recently have become quite intrigued by Chabad (one of the world's largest Hasidic movements) tbh the older i've got i've changed to a feeling of i've GOT to believe/IT has to be TRUE!! b/c really whats the other alternative?? worm food?? no thanks...i intend to be off floating through the aether with the fairies/angels/elves/pixies whatever LOL...think heavens what you make it...(was that a song??)

seriously though...aren't we all just too god damn special (& i include our animal friends too....both furry & non furry) to be just a series of random events???

don't get me wrong i believe in evolution & the big bang...but can't there be room (even just a teeny tiny bit???!!) for a designer??? a man (or woman or being or energy...i'm very easily pleased & don't sweat the details....) with a plan so to speak. back to religion...have no idea why there is such a fuss & divide?? IF there is a god...we've all been made from same blueprint so i'm assuming only one of them too...y'know the god/being entity thing...faith is one thing religion another...like the gandhi quote many paths to god etc...

    one of my fave quotes...

if you don't believe in magic you may as well be dead...
    Einstein
(to lazy to google so may not be word perfect!!)

    anyway take care...

& watch out for those bears!!

    an oldie just for you...so....
    do you believe in magic??
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRh04SqGhwI&feature=related
(cheesey intros in first few mins...you'll hate it!! song from 4 mins on...)

is it fluffy??? may be a smidge!! wave your arms in the air & smile...i promise you'll like it :)

Well I used to believe in god and heaven I’m a ex priest.

now I just believe we rot , I didn’t design life and the whole game I’m involved in and the fact that we rot and that’s it isn’t very jolly, but knowing that should make our life now more important that’s why we need to live this life with passion and love.

it makes me sad that people myself included don’t for the most part live life like its not a rehearsal the things most people think are important I think worthless, but I suppose it takes time to see that they are worthless .

At the moment I’m clearing things out of my life so everyday I have less things I feel the things I have own me and I’m not free but that will change .

I don’t know if my view of life is that down I don’t worry about ending or death or that at some point I wont exist because I cant do anything about it I wont know I don’t exist because I wont exist, all I can do is control the way I play this life that I have now, I cant control what happens to me or what other people chose to do but pah such things don’t matter.

The samurai would try to live life like they were already dead meaning to say they would contemplate their death in lots of nasty ways every day so they accepted where they were, or they were advised to live their life like it was a dream again this would take away things like the fear of death or illness or aging or hardships or fear of pretty much anything.

I don’t think I have Russian blood but I have a great attraction to the Mongols I like the Russians and would see someone thinking I had Russian blood as a compliment

    Ho 2 mad from nomad,

Once was when I took an adversarial role with you....mostly over your view with Islam.
But Believing in doing the homework....I shut up.
Having come from deep spiritual roots and partaking of the mystic bent and traveling a far Way therein.....I tend to speak even less.

But you I honor because you spoke, while passionately, of Knowing the truth, yet not requiring that anyone believe what you had come to, but that they search to find what they themselfs can take as truth.
All truths being bent to the individual perspective.

Being now the hermit more than I ever though I would be and living mainly in the woods....but hey I run a paperroute at night out in the deer, bear, and coyote country of the finger lakes of western New York state (not to be confused with the city....PLEASE)...I find myself more fey than not.

And should you ever leave the isle 'cross the sea, would love to share sojourning the high desert of this land and beyond, and the warm fire of comaraderie.

Blessings along your Way.....ahh the lessons learned

Namaste (my spirit bows to your spirit)
