i found it somewhat odd that he only talked about how fucked up christianity is... we all know christianity has some majorly fucked up issues... i'm just gonna shut up and not even get to my point.. :leaving:
no way. Cooper's completely oblivious 90% of the time and is completely unaware of his arseholeness. Dave, on the other hand, has apologised before.
the thing is there are rational views from a religious perspective. the problem is they are in the far minority. we have too many ignorant hicks who think that the earth was created 4000 years ago holding us back.
I thought he was too nice to the jews. Not that I have anything against the jews, I'm just saying, he made fun of every religion - yet when the one rabbi tried to express his views against zionists, he couldn't deal with it.
I thought it was pretty good, he used humour to get his point across. i thought Zeitguist covered the topic better from a logic stand part.
you have to be kidding me. the vast majority of zeitgeist is made up bullshit. that's like saying grimm faerie tales make a better argument.
Liked the movie loathe Bill Maher. I despise how his show ends with him basically saying he's smarter than everyone. They should change the name from "Real Time" to "liberals agree with eachother". Not to mention everytime they get a conservative pundit on the show it's some imbecile like Meghan Mccain or Joe the Dumbass Plumber.
LOL this is an oxymoron. i probably dont have to say it but i agree with maher. he is hilarious and i dont really care if he is liberal, conservative, asshole, nice, whatever. he gets his rationalist points across and makes fun of xtianity at the same time. it's a win-win
it's not an oxymoron. Realistically, there is an equal amount of faith in the "it just happened" camp as the "higher power did it" Now, I don't know what you know about the basic forces that drive this universe, (strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electromagnetic, gravity, etc.) but, really we don't have the information to provide ANY kind of answer they're the same.
I suppose zeitgeist was compelling if you don't fact check. Not that I'm arguing the historical verisimilitude of Jesus. Theres no evidence for it outside the bible, which was written decades after his death by people who never met him.
and christmas wasn't jesus' birthday, december 25th was a borrowed holiday for conversion purposes, so was eoustre, etc. etc. etc. the entire movie is shit if you even have a shred of basic knowledge about history of the western world.
