We have a saying in showbusiness and it goes -- Women are to comedy what Mariah Carey is to comedy.

 

Men, just because they dominate the industry and there are more of em to choose from
women, though can be just as funny - i love Sarah Silverman

I don't think being a comedian is valued by women.
The funniest comedienne I know is Jo Brand.Who's fat and hideous.She sort of repeats all the jokes made at her expense.

The other famous female comedians, I just don't tend to get it.

 

I'd have to say I've never really liked female comedians. But that doesn't mean that I'm not a riot, I'm fucking hilarious. Just not on a stage...

As far as comedians are concerned, I don't think most of them are that funny.

The average person, to me, is generally more humorous.

men. women comedians suck for the most part. although that asian chick with the last name "chu" or something is pretty funny.

Its okay, not at all though.

My students find me quite humorous, but Chinese humor is way different than western humor. And they never get my wit/sarcasm, so my humor is becoming more simplified to fit the culture. Because otherwise the wit is way over their head, understandably so, as their humor is sometimes over my head.

Granted I can be dense sometimes, so it is an odd combo. Being dense sometimes, but also capable of fabulous wit.
