    HR2454 just passed the house.
by the governments own estimates it means you will be paying a extra 700+ dollars a year on your utilities and a extra 77 cents a gallon for gasoline.

thats just the beginning because we all know the cost of everything is going to go up.

Its ok though, its all about the environment and clean energy..

IT IS?? then could someone explain why this very same administration gave the OK for over 24 mountaintops to be removed for COAL in west virginia?

I support a tax increase if it's for something good like a balanced budget by a responsible government.

    but, it's not.

this is what people should be in the streets about..

i would go out in my street and protest but last time we went down and hung out we stood there for over a hour before a car went by.
needless to say,i dont think protesting in my street accomplishes much..

    Dear David,

The House of Representatives has just passed a landmark bill that will propel our nation toward a clean energy future.

The vote was close. Know that all of your efforts -- whether a signed petition, a donation, or a call -- made a difference in the outcome. Together, we are truly showing the power of government by the people and for the people.

It's not over though. The debate moves on to the Senate where our opponents will redouble their efforts. There will be more distortions and foot dragging, but the momentum is on our side.

Today, we have something to celebrate. For the first time in decades, we have taken bold action to help solve the climate crisis. I look forward to working with you in the days ahead.

Thanks for all that you do,

    Steve Bouchard

P.S. Please support our efforts to make this year the one our nation actually gets serious about our climate and energy future. Click here.

    Email I just got.

the bill you are talking about.

this is why we aren't gonna be in the streets.

I would also like to see confirmation, preferably in the form of an economic impact study as compared to other large tax increases (a top ten list would be really useful)

as that taxes can be interpreted so many different ways, this description can "accurately" be used for hundreds of tax increases

    but not truly accurately.

Not willing to provide a link eh?

I guess I'll read the entire text of the law, rather than assume you're full of shit. Like you always are.

But I am curious, so I'll read.

have your taxes ever went up 700 dollars a year with you staying in the same tax bracket?
by the governments numbers thats what your utility bills will increase by.

if you dont see it as the largest tax on americans in history i dont know what to tell you.

plenty of info on this bill all over the web.
its not my job to convince you,in fact i could care less at this point.
we have made our choice, soon you may have to as well.

it'd be ludicrous to take the governor's word for it.

he's a politician, his bread and butter are lies, and hyperbole.

i dunno what to tell ya,like i said,i aint playing the game anymore so most of the increases i wont have to deal with.

fine its not going to do anything but benefit the people of this great nation and increase our standard of living, just like removing those 24 mountaintops will do for west virginia..
