2 japanese men in their 50's were arrested while on a train to switzerland from italy. The Italian Financial Police searched the two and found 134.5 BILLION USD in government bonds in a false bottomed breifcase.

Clearly the bonds are not forgeries. 500 million dollar bonds and 1 billion dollar bonds and any other bond of such stature have CUSIP numbers and are registered to the bond holder. There is speculation that these bonds are "Bearer" Bonds, meaning the bonds were redeemable for cash, BUT, this ammount of money is only found in the pockets of governments. You would have to be a new breed of insane to even attempt to cash a 500 million dollar bond, never mind 249 of them, and 10 1 Billion dollar bonds.

Theory 1: Japan sent some curriers to drop US dollers, which isnt really likely.

Theory 2: For some reason the final 134.5 Billion in TARP money which was the ammount announced by Geitner march 30th slipped into the hands of some Japanese...

I dont fucking know, but why hasn't MSM followed up on it.

How does it not make sence. Not too long ago Geitner said there was only 134.5 billion left in TARP money. Now that same ammount is found in the hands of 2 japanese men?

This could be exactly why someone would counterfit that much. I mean governments loose track of money all the time, but normally not a $135 billion worth of money

They didn't lose track of it though. The only question is whether or not Geithner is still in possession of that money.

The fact that NO western media has reported on this gives the impression that something went terribly wrong that could incriminate some important people. If the bonds were forgeries America would be quick to pounce and blame some enemy for tring to undermine their economy.

Honestly because until it's seen if they're forgeries or not it's not that big a news story, it's not some massive coverup yet. It's just location, Spiegel carried the story because Germany is near Italy, if it becomes legit bonds, I guarantee you the BBC and NYT will be all over it in 90 seconds. And I do believe Bloomberg had a report on it

Tarp money is not given in the form of bearer bonds and stuffed in a safe in Geitner's office. Its a budget, they don't just hand him the money.

And Bloomberg covered the story four days before you claimed "no western media had covered it".

Its up to them what they do with it now, Buts its not of great inportance at this rate.

It was a screw up, and its fun to see the laps in thinking..

" 2 Japanese people caught smuggling Counterfit bonds out of italy, which then where promplty let go with said counterfit bonds.." Somewhere after this they grew a brain and stepped up saying they where not fake and made a picture.

    So leaveing this.

2 Japanese go to italy where they happen to just pick up U.S. Currency .. Lets say 134.4 billion (they could of atleast rounded) and proceed to walk out. at first was counterfit money cause you know all those printers over there in japan are for anime use only :p or italy just has someone great at counterfiting, must provide online services!! It doesnt matter cause we will not be told where the hell in italy they went lol.

So they get stopped at train (which was the screw up) and patted on back to set them off straight back to japan .. With money in hand regardless whether counterfit or real! Makes me feel fuzzy inside, Can goto italy order fake cash and even if caught they let me keep it :)

and now back at japan, we will make a story :)
