I woke up this morning with my under-fingernail cavity on each finger FILLED with soft scalp tissue and blood.
I couldnt recall where it could have possibly came from,
but I remember at around four in the morning yesterday I was scratching all around my entire head with both hands for literally and hour. I tried to stop, (all this in a half-conscious state, no logic present) and it was very very nerve wrecking. I had an awful time.

what gets me the most is that it is only at night. I dont know what it is about when I sleep, but there is something.

just felt like sharing. I was very tempted to, in the middle of the night, just go wash my hair. but, I just did. it is clean and such.

    I think it is the....

    bed bugs.
no one wishes for them not to bite me.
root cause of all my problems.

Are you serious or just making a joke about the saying "don't letting the bed bugs bite"
'cause bed bugs are real -either way ,gross an thanx for sharing

this one time, I was entwined with my girlfriend while we was sleeping and she had her period, It was a pretty heavy flow.. And I got glued to her as it dried, and somewhere in the night I smeared blood on my face and her boobs.. hahahahahahah :D

    or hilarious.. ??

wear gloves to bed so you can't dig holes in your scalp.

I was very tempted just to tape my hands in fists to prevent this.

I remember in my state of dreamlike confusion seeing bugs falling out of my head. it didnt really happen though.
but it was a joke. waking up in the middle of the night is always awful for me. it is like a bad trip. I just cant think of any other reason why I get night time itchies!!!

How long have you had your dreads for?
Perhaps your subconcious is not used to them yet.

Perhaps it is just a question of giving it time then.
If you have not pulled all your hair out and thrown yourself under a train...let us know if things get better.

its just ur scalp needs some time gettin used to it. i actually just started 8 on top of my head, 4 on each side, gonna make a big one on the very back... yes i said make... for only 4 weeks in, there already nice, tight and dready. i'll have to talk about it more in my own thread sometime... but yeah the first week, even the second my scalp was so irritated that i was scratchin to, then i started using some Tea Tree Shampoo from my friends organic shop, it started workin my scalp good!

OP - maybe youre getting too hot in the night, hence the wanting to scratch? sounds like you got head cheese too (the soft scalp part that gets stuck under yer nails). it does get better with time, honest. i found that what helped MASSIVELY was not using knottyboy shampoo anymore.. since using just water its cleared up alot.. not gone completely, but its waaayyy better

i use Giovanni shampoos/products for my hair... kinda spendy but its worth it! ive been using their Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo...

its an organic hair care line, thats why its kinda pricey.

they even got some new stuff dealing with micro-magnets for the hair. the shampoo and hair gel ive seen is actually silver looking stuff. reading the ingredients they put Mica in there, haha. anyway i recommend their shampoos for ur scalp problem!

    :cheers2:
