these threads usually go over well. we all like to bitch. some pregnancy related rants, hehehe. everyone keeps telling me that i should enjoy my last months of freedom, before the baby gets here. that's actually kind of dumb, since i am so looking forward to having a baby, but at any rate, i don't feel very free right now. pregnant chicks have lots of rules. *no really hot baths (the only kind i'm used to) *no unpasturized stuff (i was going to get this really good fresh juice the other day, then i remembered) *can't use the ab roller anymore (not like it would do any good, i guess, lol) *can't drink *no amusement park rides *no more taking care of strange cats (ok, this probably isn't a widespread issue, but it is for me) *with a few exceptions, i can't generally take medicine, even if i feel lousy there are tons more rules. people keep asking me if i am scared of childbirth. it's kind of a dumb question, since either way, it's going to happen whether i am scared of it or not. also, everyone keeps saying that i should enjoy getting a good nights rest while i can, but the thing is that i don't anymore. i wake up about a million times a night, and at the crack of dawn to go pee. finally, suddenly everyone feels ok about groping my stomach and/ or lifting up my shirt to see it. ick. i'm not really a touchy feely person anyway, so i find this wierd. i'm also sort of having mixed feelings about the new found pudge, and i'd rather not share it with the world yet, lol. ok, who's next?
nightmarehippygirl, the peeing a gazillion times a night will go away in the second trimester until the baby is big enough to use your bladder for a soccer ball! You also can't eat soft cheeses like brie, fyi...and some fish...the ones with high mercury content... Anyway...I rescued this dog from this lady who found her on the highway...she was going to keep her but her other dog didn't like her. So, this dog was supposedly a puppy, 4-5 months old, but once I got her I saw that she was more like a year old. Which was fine...except, two days after I got her she went into heat! Not only did I have to deal with getting the poor thing used to living with us, I also had to deal with her bleeding and pissing and shitting all over the house (marking her area, ya know? Letting the guys know she's around!) I'm still trying to get the piss smell out of the carpet. Other than that, though she's a sweet little thing. Rant #2, school sucks.
not very. almost three months. everywhere i go, everyone expects me to show em my stomach so they can tell if i'm showing yet. i'm not exactly. rather, i look more like i just had a huge meal, which isn't quite as cute as looking pregnant. hehehe. ah, well it will get better, although i'm not sure if i will ever get used to having family, as well as people i just sort of know manhandling my stomach. i think honestly they think it's "cute" because i've always been very thin. they can't wait to watch me blow up like a balloon.
sugr..i can relate to the dog mess. several months ago, i agreed to foster a mama cat and her 6 babies for the shelter. it turned out that the mama was sick with some apparently undiagnosable intestinal problem. we spent a fortune taking her to the vet, but they couldn't find anything wrong with her. she had the nastiest, smelliest bloody diarrhea, everywhere she went. (sorry, tmi) we kept her as long as we could, but eventually had to have her put to sleep (i felt awful, but i was out of money, and ideas about what to do about her.) several of the kittens ended up dying too. i still have several of the kittens, which i now cannot find homes for. i don't want to take them back to the shelter, for fear that they will be put to sleep, or catch the current outbreak of distemper there. sometimes being nice ends up being a real pain in the ass, huh? btw, my mom says that if you pour vinegar on the carpet, it will get the piss smell out, although it occurs to me that the vinegar smell might not be much better.
Just wait until you have the baby. There is nothing worse than total strangers wanting to put their nasty hands on your newborn. I don't understand what makes people think that it is okay to touch some one's baby..especially when you have no idea who they are.
well, you could always attach thumbtacks to the stomach of your shirt(pointing out), or draw/write something really obscene on your stomach, which will offend anyone who looks at it
ick, that will gross me out. on the plus side, i am sort of anti social, so maybe it won't be a huge problem, lol. i don't get out much. my family knows about my ocd tendencies already, so i doubt they'll be surprised by my handwashing requests.
hahaha, that actually made me laugh out loud. any suggestions as to what obscene things i should write/draw?
Girl I know how you feel Im 23 weeks (five months and 3 weeks) I wake up in the middle up the night so many times either because I have to pee or cuz the baby is kicking the hell out of me. My stomach has officially become public property where people just come up and touch my belly GRRRRR. I was in a bad mood and this lady came up to me and put her hand on my stomach while i was in line at the grocery store and I told her if she cherished that hand she better take it off right now. LOL you should have seen her face. she was terrified. but All I can say is that when you get further along you will not only be on a schedule for having to wake up and all but youll quite enjoy getting bigger and feeling your baby kick. good luck and keep me updated. *KISSES* *HUGS* *LOVE* Fallen Fairy
We once rescued a cat from the animal shelter that had that same problem. She ended up dieing. Nothing i did seemed to help and I often thought she might be terribly inbred lol! As far as the helping out goes, it really is a pain in the ass. And girl you should sleep in the middle when th baby isn't so big and the hormones have stopped making you pee all the time. As far as everyone touching your tummy goes, tell them to back off. You aren't a touchy feely person and you don't like it lol! You prob can't stop your family, but you can def stop strangers from touching you.
