The Beatles couldn't dance. That's the difference. Musically, they were much better.

MJ should have just danced to the white album.

I have to agree. MJ's music just doesn't appeal to me and I only like listening to it when I'm killing the fuck out of shit on Vice City. But I could listen to the Beatles while fucking, brushing my teeth, killing the fuck out of shit...whatever. If I want to see someone with smooth moves, I'll watch the smoooooth criminal, but if I want to listen to someone that doesn't drive me insane, I'll go with the Beatles. I suppose it's just all a matter of personal taste.

Quincy Jones is in some ways more responsible for the sound of the MJ albums than MJ was. He put together those all-star groups of highly paid studio musicians. What would "Beat It" have been without the killer guitar work? Not likely a smash number one record.

MTV made music too much about dancing, and not enough about music. We ended up with too many dancers being played on FM radio, like Britany Spears, Paula Abdul, and Janet Jackson. I enjoy watching dancers dance, but rock (especially FM) would be healthier if it was still driven mostly by people who only sing and play instruments.

Did hippiehillbilly have a direct link to the Jackson residence with an alert light on his tractor? He knew about it before TMZ.

Hard to say, hippiehillbilly hasn't posted in 3 years. I always liked debating with him, wish he'd come back with an update on his cabin, etc.

can banned people just do that? i kind of feel like that would defeat the purpose of a ban.

wasn't he one of the people that was kicked out 7 years ago for being aware of the existence of a competing site?
