let me ask you this... how do they know there color blind, like shades of gray? because if they have never seen color how do they know that thay are just seeing shades of gray. i dont understand.. can you explain that a little better. because i didnt know i was color blind intill i was around 8 years old. I just was really shitty with colors and idk no matter how hard they tried to teach me i just didnt get it
I like orange and yellow-- but in small doses and not bright neon or dayglo. Natural looking orange and yellows.
When he was a young child (4 or so), he was visiting his grandparents and they found him downstairs watching the old black and white television and when they asked him why he wasn't upstairs watching with them on the color set and he said he didn't even know there was a difference until then. Kindergarten proved to be pretty hard for him, too, so that's how he learned to differentiate the shades, instead of the colors.
right right that makes sense... thats funny though, because when i was younger prolly around 5 or 6 i had a similar experiece. well the color on my mothers old crappy tv was alway off and you could fix it by turnin the nob label color.. my brother always asked me why i didnt fix and id simply say it looks fine to me. I only used crayola cayons as a child... they had the colors labled. but im not sure if im color blind or defficient. ive never be to a doctor about it but i know i have trouble seeing colors. perhaps i will see a doctor one day... but it makes it so much harder to get a license and what not.
That's odd because Daniel never had a problem getting his license. He was fucked when he wanted to join the military, though, because they won't let the colorblind fly, and that's what he wanted to do. I don't know if he's ever been to a doctor for it, though...but he has had some hilarious color-mistaking situations. One time he was looking all over the place for a blue cord. "Where the fuck is that blue cord????" so we looked everywhere, then he found it exactly where I was looking. Cord was motherfucking purple. And then we ran over a red spray paint can lid just the other day and he thought we ran over a turtle. lmao!
There are different levels of color-blind. Some people only have trouble with certain colors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorblind chart if you scroll down
haha yeah if your like diagnosed i guess... its a real pain to get you license. Stop lights are red and green and yellow. and i just go by which light it is not the color, but at night its really hard to do that. id imagine thats why its such a big deal idk though
Usually they're all in the same order, though, red yellow green. That's why lights are in the same order and signs are different shapes as well as colors, for the colorblind.
but at night from far you cant see which light it is. untill you get real close and if your going 55 mph its not easy to stop quick. im not sure if you trying to say that im not color blind or what.. i feel like im catchin some bad vibes... to be honest i dont care if you try to disprove me or sumthing... i mean its ok. but i sure know that i cant see colors regularly.. if there is anything regular in this world any way. I say these statements with no offense or additude i am simply just stating how i feel. im sorry if ive misinterpreted yout words. be safe and stay hip
nah she just doesn't understand colorblindness, don't worry. just try to inform people who are ignorant, ya know?
