Seriously these are the same people who would criticize and mock the person while their alive but as soon as they die it seems to be sacred ground where no one can tread... What makes it right or wrong just because the person happens to be dead? It might be in bad taste to make a such a joke to Billy Mays family but on a harmless internet forum

You don't automatically gain respect just because you died, fuck, if it was that easy, suicide would be totally fashionable. If you dislike someone in life, there should be no reason to put on airs and pretend you liked them in death, and honestly, if you do that, you're an annoying fake and WAY worse than someone who tells it like they see it. Just because someone dies doesn't mean you're obligated to respect them. And don't even get close to telling me that I'd feel differently if I had lost someone, because tomorrow is the one year anniversary since my best friend was found dead in a ravine. And I know people probably still talk shit about her, she didn't die in the most honorable of fashions, and you know, the people who TRULY matter love her. I'm pretty sure a few jokes are the last thing that Billy Mays' family is worried about.
