What are you doing for it? I'm thinking I'm going to be sleeping, possibly working on some art and then going to a party a few doors down. Should be fun
Gonna get drunk and stoned and listen to stompin tom. Go four wheeling, have a bonfire, fireworks, gonna be a awesome day, as an added bonus this chick from school is comin with, gonna be our first date
I'm not sure yet. Think I'm gonna call up a buddy of mine and take the kids somewhere to get their face painted and hang out in big crowds. I think I like OP's day better.
I'm at McGill in the dorms. Prolly going to head downtown Montreal or go to Pointe-Claire for fireworks. HAPPY CANADA DAY FOLKS!!!
collecting rents, issuing an eviction notice, drove for three hour to do that. Later, I'll be doing some work on the electrical system of the truck, cutting some wood, cleaning the yard and so on... or in other words, the exact same type of things I did yesterday and will do tomorrow (although the rent thing is month to month)...
Kirkland Lake... a name that should be familiar to anyone in the enviromental activism area or from here to Toronto. It's where they wanted (but failed) to dump Toronto's garbage in the old pit mine a couple of years back..
I grew up near Earlton so well aware of Kirkland Lake. Hard to believe you had to evict someone from a place there. lol
I forgot about this... I also gave a ride to some hitch hiker... he didn't speak very much english (almost zero), I don't speak french, but we still managed to have an hour long conversation of sorts... He started in Rouyn-Noranda and was heading for BC. Apparently, I was the first 'english' guy he met on his trip so far. I can't swear to this, but I believe he said he used to talk some english with a teacher 10 years ago, but none since. If anyone is going that way, (from Kirkland Lake towards Thunder Bay), keep an eye open for him, he has a back pack and some weird bandana/hat thing and these poofy style pants... pretty hard to miss... Seemed like a good guy and is planning on learning as much english as he can on his trip.
Yeah, KL is such a beacon of up-standing citizens... lol Actually, it has been getting a lot better the last few years. There was some bs over bikers business there and the result was a huge step up in police presence... lol having said that, it is still KL...
