Some of my favorite Dali works (He just so happens to be my favorite artist of all time as well): This one I love, because it sums up how I feel (trapped in the world) What is "time" anyways, other than a human construct. Both geometrically genius and artistically beautiful (Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man)
Really hard to choose, but these wud be some of the top few, classics and all time favourites The Great Wave of Kanagawa by Hokusai Wheat Field with Crows by Van Gogh (first saw this in Akira Kurosawa's Dreams, never forgotten it ever since) Nighthawks by Edward Hopper and last but definitely not least! ^_^ The Son of Man by Rene Magritte thanks for the post Didymus, loving that piece ^_^
'The Two Fridas' by Frida Kahlo I never used to love Kahlo's work, but in recent times I got to really appreciate her amazing imagery and use of color. Even though her life was filled with pain, her paintings always had strength in them. 'The Garden of Earthy Delights' by Hieronymus Bosch Such an unbelievably beautiful, complex painting. This tiny version doesn't do it justice, you have to see it up close to truly appreciate all that's going on in it. 'One Second Before Awakening from a Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Promegranate' by Salvador Dali I was raised around paintings of Salvador Dali... my dad is an avid fan. It sparked my love for surrealism and dreamscapes.
