I agree wholeheartedly. Nothing comes by obsessing about the past except frustration.
I can tell you, I just got back from an open mic show at one of the coffee shops in town and there's no need to worry. The creative loving spirit is still very much alive and well. It won't ever die out. Just focus on what made that time so great- music and art and compassion and love.

the times of old are coming back again. I'm quite sad that I wasn't around for the time of peace and love but while the majority of the world is filled with strife and conflict there are still people carrying on the hippy spirit. It's just too bad that the message was lost with the time and it has to be found again and it is all the product of money, power, and greed.

Those who want to be part of the life style can easily learn where to look thanks to the internet and sites like these and they can get connected to the welcoming and friendly communities in their area. Travel to festivals and you will meet many interesting and friendly people of all ages and backgrounds. The movement never died it just fell out of the lime light
