great guy.. will be missed altho he made a new series for bbc traction engine n all. best joke i heard was... his m8 was asked by some kids (below a chimney he was on ) did Fred ever fall off the chimney ? Yes he answered ! what happened, they said i caught him. he replied ! thas great !
I remember him burning down a smoke stack down the street I used to live in lancashire, my girlfriend at the time got his autography...and a sooty kiss I might add! Dirty old fella!!!
