I dont know if this should technically be in the events and festival forums, but it is a regional thing in MA so I figured I would localize the post. Anyway I have really taken an interest lately in the electronic scene and have been searching and searching for some nifty events my way, well these both psyforia http://www.sonicbeating.org/psyforia.html and project mum http://www.myspace.com/projectmum seem like really interesting hippie friendly events for those who like to dance all night. Anyway, long story short is I was curious to know if any of you excellent people have been to either of these. I really want to get my hopes it seems fun. on an unrelated note all my hippie friends (well most) frown on the electronic scene, personally I believe that the culture the music creates is a different branch from the same tree. Do you agree? pze.:hat:
I agree the electronica scene is built up of alot of different people but going to shows and seeing DJs throw up their best sets is unreal and the people that are into scene are all friendly and willing to chat about anything. I love the all inclusive come as you are enviroment. you could know nothing or be 100 percent involved and find people you connect with
Absolutely! I run in both circles and as far as I'm concerned the electronic music kids and the hippies are one and the same. Do you know any shows or artists in the scene right now that I should check out?
yeh, bassnectar is coming to town next month, tight crew is throwing a party next month also www.tightcrew.net goodlife bar in boston has a decent dubstep night called bassic and psyforia is happening again in a week or so www.sonicbeating.com
