this threads contains a shallow topic and a serious one: pick and choose

I went shopping today and walked for 5 hours in my 5'' heels. My feet are destroyed. But it was worth it. Girls.. and also guys I guess some of you.. do you think you must suffer to be pretty? Or, like me, you believe that it's by being comfortable that you, without a doubt, are beautiful. No tension on the face, no crankiness cause you haven't spent a day walking in ridiculously high shoes (although they're hot) so you're in a good mood, and that is definitely attractive.

Now something more serious: I've been seeing signs everywhere here in the south of Spain (on city hall buildings, on fountains, in public bathrooms..) about the conservation of WATER. Water is coming rare here in Spain and many other parts of the world, and do you think that.. in.. maybe 100 years from now.. more or less.. we'll all be fighting for the water left on the planet, as opposed to OIL?

I don't really sacrifice comfort for fashion. I don't even own a tie, because I hate it being so tight on my neck. I like wearing a t-shirt and jeans most of the time.

There's legal battles b/w states here in the US for water. If more was invested in converting water into drinkable water we wouldn't have a problem. There is a LOT of water around.. With the population continuing to increase and the world all being economically intertwined though, there's going to be a lot more conflict for sure.

 

I just wear hot AND comfortable heels if I wear them. But I usually wear flats, I'm already tall.

I think water desalination will become a lot bigger, we will be okay but we will have to be more conservative. Some countries might not be able to afford the equipment to get the water they need, but I'm sure we'll find a way to bail them out since we seem to have long since forgotten about natural selection.

 

I suffer because I'm hideous.

In 10 years I'll have dammed up the river running through our farm. I'll sell water for $5 per gallon and be rich beyond my wildest dreams.

when i go out dancing i usually wear heels even though i'm tall
i have one pair that are my dancing shoes, sexy black heels that are super comfortable

and in the serious matter, i do not know if that'll happen but i wouldn't be surprised if it did

anyways about the "you have to suffer to be pretty" saying.. is it even a saying in the English language? It is in French.. but really.. if a women wants to wear heels.. and wax.. and pluck her hairs.. and bleech her head.. and whatnot.. all that causes PAIN! - but can they really justify it creates their BEAUTY - that it's the ONLY way to be beautiful? NO. That's total bull. Suffering in my heels today made me laugh at one point cause I just thought of women who think that way.. who'd be yelling at me: come on!! that's how you're beautiful! no don't you take those off!! Dude, I took them off and walked barefeet to the car. Fuck the looks from all those idiots. I'll wear them when they don't hurt, cause then I'll be able to smile.

Now as far as the water thing goes - yes I believe that if there was a way to really use salt water and make it drinkable and safe.. that would be great! there is SO much water around! but without that, how to avoid a war.. it will become the most precious resource.. who will give a fuck about putting gas in their car if they can't drink anymore?

yeah, water is the least of our troubles.

I don't suffer to be "pretty," that would suck. But sometimes I buy a pair of new shoes and realize they're giving me blisters halfway through the night

of course, that happens.. but you'll take off your shoes until your blisters heal, right? some people will keep wearing them through blood and tears, to keep looking "hot".

sometimes i feel comfortable in sweats and other times im in the mood to get all dressed up and look cute. as long as i feel good and confident in what im wearing, then its all good.
