looking for an appetite stimulant

    well, over the course of the past month, i've lost 14 lbs. i was already slightly too skinny for my liking, but now it's just ridiculous. i have a six pack and i don't do situps. i look like a damned marathon runner. i smoke pot every day and usually have to somewhat force myself to eat (either that or have a few puffs before a meal). i told my dad about this a while back and he called it the family curse. apparently him and his dad both were always trying to gain weight (neither were/are as skinny as me though). anyway, yeah, i was wondering if anyone knew of some over the counter drug or herb that would increase my appetite.

    also...not sure if this is related...but i've been somewhat nauseous for the past couple months. gagging about once a day due to nausea (haven't puked yet)...it happens when i'm completely sober too. i'da thought i had some sort of bug, but i haven't had any other symptoms.

    1. have you talked to a doctor about this?
    2. what do you normally eat. what foods?
    3. go to fitday (www.fitday.com), start a free account and keep track of what you eat. then come back and report how many grams of protein, carbs, and fat you ate.

    are you a manic depressant? Just curious, cause Spring can cause this..

    I lost 16lbs, in last 2 month FLU might had a little bit to do with that Though I EAT ALOT..... REALLY ALOT.. :D

    no, but i have been dealing with my life's only bout of depression for the past 5 or so months.

    losing 14 lbs in a month is a lot for me. i was 158, now i'm 144...which is ridiculous considering i'm 5'11.
    1. no.
    2. milk, fast food, and whatever my mom cooks
    3. i dunno if i'm dedicated enough to do that, but my mom's a dietition so i do i have a good idea of my daily calorie intake (i'd say the past 3 or 4 days total has been probably under 1000). been making sure i've been getting enough fluids and trying to eat a little healthier than usual when i do since i'm not eating shit.
    4. i usually play basketball a couple times a week (competitive pickup games, not just shooting around)...but i haven't been playing as much lately due to a broken finger

    i'm starting to think that they all my just be related to my depression.

    my weight fluctuating is really nothing new to me. over the course of a year my low'll be around 142 and my high will be about 168.

    i'm just looking for something i can maybe take before a meal or daily or something that'll make me hungry enough to stay over 160.

    so i told my shrink and he suggested i see i doctor. i asked my dad (a doc) who's out of town, and he said i should probably make an appointment and get my stomach x-rayed and have some blood tests done to make sure i don't have pancreatitis or something.

    how bout Amino 1800, suppose to help protein breakdown during workouts.. Way your body dont burn the muscle mass only the food? I used to take it.. But havent in a while. Look into it see if it could help..

    dude, I'm 6'1" and 145lbs. That's way skinnier. I rock the six pack and I bike to work every day and do pushups and situps every day. I eat vegetarian. It takes quite a lot of discipline for me to gain weight because I absolutely wont hold any fat, just muscle. So for this summer I want to reach 160lbs I'm starting to supplement with protein shakes.

    The fact is that a lot of people work hard to be skinny but it is easy for you and I. This is a blessing and a curse, depending on how you look at it. Its all subjective, see?

    So maybe you have worms that are eating for you, go see a doctor. If its not a physical problem then its mental and I think maybe bulimia.

    saw a doc and he prescribed prilosec. he took a bunch of tests too, the results aren't back yet.

    side note: think i might've smoked some bud laced with heroin last night. gave me the same itchy/narcoleptic feeling heroin gave me...so while i was there i got a drug screen just to be safe. unfortunately it'll take a week for the results to get back.

    i guess. hell if i know. i think he just gave me a random med cause he couldn't find anything wrong with me. apparently i have some italian strand of anemia though.

    but yeah, i've gained 8 lbs in the past 2 days! woohoo! it's lookin like all i needed to do was start taking my antipsychotics

    Junk food isn't good for anything. It can screw you up in all kinds of ways. Switch over to a real food diet and see what happens.

    mmg and deranged..

    I been that way all my life... people would say ..oh when you turn 30 it will change ..

    then it was .. when you turn 40 it will change

    then it was 50...ain't changed yet..... enjoy it.

    Stomach crunches and upper body will help to hold weight

    and real food is good too

    i just eat whatever i can whenever i can when i have the motivation. if only i was still on that zyprexa, i'd still be 188 lbs. lol, but nah, side effects totally not worth it
