i let half of an 8 mg pill sit under my tongue yesterday. this was the first time i have ever taken suboxone. 10 minutes after it dissolved i started feelin real dizzy. i mean real dizzy. then i started feel real drunk like how you do when you drink to much and you try to lay day and close your eyes but the whole room spins and you puke. i felt like that for a good eight hours and puke 4 time sithin that period. and i kept noddin off. im not dependent on opiates but i am a recreational user. ill probably eat vicodin or percs a couple times a week and when i do i usually got to the extreme of eating around 7-10 within a few hours timespan. i know some people will call me stupid but thats just me i like to feel as good as i possibly can. but anyways i had eaten 7 baby vics the day before and it had probably been about 8-10 hours after that i had taken the suboxone. i read up about precipiated withdrawals but i dont feel that i am dependent enough to go through withdrawals because i dont go through them any other time. so im not sure if the suboxone might have sent me into a withdrawal ive never felt before or if i took to much but i also feel like that could not be it because i only took 4 mill. maybe that is alot for an opiate nieve person. i dont know. but this drug is some powerful stuff. i have taken methadone and have never felt like that. i had to get that off my chest and if anyone has any ideas why i might have felt this way please tell me give me some kind of info. thank you

i think that is kinda of a high dose for somebody that is not dependent on opiates. I did the same thing two days ago and felt similar to what you descriped. I however I am very dependant on pills, for about three years now everyday, whatever opiates i can get my hands on and large doses of them. Im saying this because I felt dizzy, nodding off hardcore, but i will say this, I havent had a real opiate in 2 days and i havent w/d yet so i know it must be a powerfull pill

i had eaten 7 baby vics the day before and it had probably been but anyways i had eaten 7 baby vics the day before and it had probably been about 8-10 hours after that i had taken the suboxone

Your supposed to take sub's when your starting to feel wd's-the vicodin was still in your body most likely when you took the sub.

if you take subs when you haven't fully detoxed, it will cause rapid onset withdrawls that are among the most painful thing in the world. however, if you fully detox from opiates (3+days being clean, more if you are on methadone) and then take a dose around 8mg of suboxone you will feel a decent high. but only the first time. after that first time the naloxone (opiate antagonist included in subs along with the actual opiate, buprenophrine) will kick in and prevent any real high, while still helping with the WD's and the hardest part of kicking an opiate habit, the cravings.

My friend had a $1000 a week opiate habit, including OC's, hydros, MS Contins, whatever he could get his hands on, as much as possible.

He quit, and went through 2 days of agony then someone sold him five 8mg suboxone tabs. he took one pill right away and felt the sick feeling of withdrawl start to diminish, and he said by the second day of taking subs (one 8mg pill a day divided in half, 4mg in the morning 4mg at night) he felt no desire to go score any opiates and felt almost like his normal self again, as far as the WD's go.

He's my best friend and college roommate so I trust his word on it. Plus I know how many pills he was taking, and how much those withdrawals hurt, so if I ever need to kick for some reason I'm using subs for sure.

well, most people say that with suboxone (buprenophrine + naloxone) you can only feel any kind of high the first time.

If you are trying to get high you really need to get something else. Sell these (you might actually be able to get a really good price for 'em because us junkies will buy anything during withdrawal, and there are times I'd have paid at least $1/mg for those 8mg Subs you've got) to someone and buy some OC or Dilaudid, crush, snort, and proceed to feel awesome.

Brad if you would like to try the subs again wait 3-4 days (yeah I know waiting suck's) so it will be totally out of your system also don't take any other opiates in that 3-4 day period. On the 4th day when/If you take the suboxone take one let it totally dissolve under your tounge wait twenty mins if you think you need more just double up.
Also as people have already said you will only get high your first time maybe your second.imo subs are best for people who need when there really sick, that's when they work like magic and that's why it's been called a wonder drug.

suboxones are for people who are in SEVERE opiate withdrawal. they can be good for a high but only if you sniff or sub a very small amount of the pill. otherwise you can get sick.

it depends on tolerance. even my brother who sniffs opiates all the time and takes them like candy told me he only takes a VERY small piece of a suboxone pill.
