Hello, I’ve been out of circulation for quite awhile and Hip Forums has been a way to find out some of what’s going on – a lot! I went to a fest last fall (Coalessence in Arkansas) and had an amazing time. The Rainbow Gathering last week was also really good, if a little funky. Still, coming basically from the outside (it’s been a looong time), it’s hard to find some information. I’ve lurked a lot on this beyond interesting sub –forum, and it seems like a good place to ask some questions: 1. I can’t find any fests or venues in the south central US (TX, AR, OK) over the next month or so. Does anyone know sources of info on this? I’ve googled, been to Jam Base, and watched Hip Forums. Also looked at Good Records in Dallas. Psy trance and camping is the main interest, though related is good. I’m going on 3 week vision quest in the Wind Rivers late August – mid September and after that, again looking. SXSW maybe a little too mainstream + mostly sold out. 2. Are there places in the Ft. Worth-Dallas area where I might meet people, especially in the daytime? 3. I’ve heard that some law enforcement people will stop people outside of venues to check the degree of pupil dilation. Is this true? Thank you for any guidance you can give re the questions I asked or about anything else. Haha, I just googled my user name - no relation to the 1st entry, it's the 2nd one (ISB) where I got my name - a very long time.
3 is bullshit. Some people have large pupils all the time. rockfest, bronco bowl, Ridglea Theater. Try those places. They do some raves. I have never been to texas or any of the states you listed and I know how to get stuff there. Is that weird? Lmao. What does this have to do with synthetic drugs?
Well, it's not really about getting stuff; it's more along the lines of wondering where like-minded people might be and especially what they might know about venues, places, etc. that would appeal to such people. As I said, I've been out of touch.
Well, I told u 3 diff places. If you want to meet people online here from texas, then just start looking. Or make a thread about texas and they will come... I am unclear on what you are talking about. I think I have an idea, but those people are gone now. At least that I know of. You need more posts to get into touch...
Okay, I understand, the question probably is unclear and it's not directly drug-related. Sometimes if you ask a broad question you get answers to other things that might be interesting. And I'm not trying to talk in code here. I really am looking for festivals and I'm posting here because this is a very interesting sub-forum to me and it seemed like someone here would know about fests, scenes, venues that would appeal to me. On youtube I see things like Shpongle and fests like Sonic Bloom and Boom and I'm saying, Yeah! Like I said, the Rainbow Gathering was a little funky, but I got to dance to the drums and I want to do more of that. Nothing hidden or coded here - you guys seem like you would have some knowledge that I don't. And, codemeister, I appreciate what you've said and that you're trying to understand.
i was wondering if anybody from Ethiopia wants to have a festival in Cuba? i know a few people form canada, and i figured that the synthetic drug forum would be a great place to discuss a basket weaving festival. wait...nevermind, i'm being an asshole, sorry world. but this should get moved to somewhere else...unless you're asking about drugs.
Yeah, good to be nice. It wasn't about basket-weaving; it was about a psychedelic fest and people of similar interests.
There really aren't many fest that are into mainly RCs. If you have questions, just ask! We will be happy to get a new member and friend!
i'm sorry, i can be kind of an asshole...but i'm actually going to a festival next weekend in california [where i live] with a circle of friends who love rc's. there will probably be a small network of RC enthusiasts amongst a bunch of 14 year old girls on E...haha...lots of trading from what i've heard. it's not so much RC's...just a bunch of K, acid and mushrooms.

So anyway, I'll keep looking for consciousness fests and I'll bet they start appearing the longer I look - and probably the more I'm willing to travel to go. The problem being that I'm (in my mind) so committed to wilderness vision quests and in the places that call to me deeply, like the Wind Rivers, there are only ~2 months when the weather is reasonable and there's lots of travel involved so on and so forth, blah blah blah. Good to have complications and mysteries like these. So I'll keep lurking on this forum and looking elsewhere for fests. And a little further up the road, I'll have something to contribute here. Thats funny. So many people just now finding out about this stuff. Lmao. I first read Pihkal like back in 2003. To think, some people are just now finding the glory of what is this world. Seems like a huge influx of people lately though.
Collective Unconscious, Carl Jung. Maybe medical marijuana has something to do with this. Maybe people are questioning the prohibition and questioning dangers of some drugs and finding benefit from some. I first found out about RCs in 2002 and my interest has been renewed since being a medical marijuana patient for the last few years. I am fascinated by reports of psyhchedelics stopping migraines and also permanently or at least long term depression/ocd/anxiety cures.
theres always raves going on in the austin area. and i only know one place to meet people in the D FW area and thats UTA, a college. i went there for a year and discovered psychedelics. lol. im sure it was the people i hung out with.
Jung is interesting...i wonder if there is a psychology forum somewhere on this site. any of you guys know of one?
