If we could just un-install and re-install our minds when they start running wonky...or make restore points in our lives.

    Hi,

well, I don't know. There is that movie where for a weatherman the same day happens again and again. A groundhog plays the main role in it. If we can save and restore our lives at a given timepoint, wouldn't some of us be tempted to create such a situation?

Edit: And some technical aspects. If we roll back our live to a certain savepoint, what to do with the other lives we interacted with? As a database man I have an easy solution: roll back their lives, too. Well, I guess the others wouldn't like that ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

..only our own mind would be affected...time will still go on the same for others

You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it.

    Hi,

OK, lets see: Create a savepoint -> Have a date, drink too much, puke on the ladies shoes -> Embarrassing -> Reset to savepoint.

Now the lady knows about her shoes, you don't. Next time she meets you somewhere in the mall she slaps you with her bag. Doesn't sound funny, huh?

    Regards
    Gyro

    Hi,

oh, I didn't know that you like the feeling of Gucci handbags in your face ;). The situation might become much funnier if more persons with savepoints at different timepoints are involved ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

I like the idea of restore points, but the install and uninstall feature is unnecessary since my mind is always as sharp as a tack [IMG]

alright BBAD...I've got a good question for you. After the uninstallation of things, where would it go and who would hold onto it for us and how would you back it up. You wouldnt want to lose important information

Mozilla is my inspiration for this thread...firefox kept crashing so I uninstall and reinstall and it tells me I have some incompatible addons..so I get rid of them and now it works like new again
