That what this upcoming year is all about “The Now” because it’s now or never for the geriatric three Hotwater
Yeah, I don't like it though. I really don't like what happened to the Celtics. They just bought a team for the simple sake of a championship. There is absolutely no long term strategy, no loyalty building, no real future other than Rondo. They just went and traded pretty much the entire team other than Pierce for those guys. It's a cheap-ass move.
Believe me after the championship last year; it was well worth it if only to deny the Los Angeles Lakers :cheers2: If you grew-up in this part of the country, you’d understand the dynamics Hotwater
I guess you do have the Yankees up there, another team that simply buys talent. I understand your joy as a Celtics fan, hell, I'd be ecstatic myself... but it just really bothers me as an NBA fan in general. I'm the kind of fan that watched all the games and follows all the teams, not just my team (even though the Magic were extremely impressive. I was at the arena when we eliminated Cleveland... started the first "beat L.A." chant )
Well, at least the Lakers didn't buy their team . (they simply made one of the most genius trades in draft history)
he used to work with my grandma and he wanted to date my mom. having shaq as a stepdad would be weird in so many forms! first off he's over two feet taller than me
I met Shaq in the airport like 2 months ago. He's tall as fuck. I told him that. "Hey Shaq, you're really tall!"
Me and some friends met Tim Duncan at a gas station. One of them walked up to him and told him the same thing as he was filling up his chromed out hummer.
You forget that it was 8 on 5 every game of the finals last year, with the officials clearly wearing Celtic jerseys. Anyway, Shaq won't make that big of a difference because he'll probably get hurt. Artest gives the Lakers a big physical presence, which will be good against San Antonio, the only team that can really manhandle the Lakers. I like the Lakers out of the west and the Celtics out of the East for a rematch of the '08 finals... if both teams can stay healthy.
Pretty much. He peaked three seasons ago and now its all downhill from here. If he has one more run left in him, next season will be it. If Shaq can deliver things are going to get ridiculous. They should just call off the regular season and have a Lakers, Cavs, Spurs, and Celtics showdown. and maybe throw in the Bobcats to make things comical.
He's a monster, I think he's still underrated. I was like a poor man's Artest playing for my high school team. My handle is about as good though. They should be like closers in baseball imo, both teams can afford to not take any chances in the regular season thanks to their stockpiles of talent. Hopefully they play the shit out of them though so Dwight Howard can run circles around them if they meet up in the post-season.
Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, and Jameer Nelson are all easily potential all-stars. Mickael Pietrus shows flashes of brilliance as well.
Magic will do it again. It's time for the merrymen to realize Lebron is the king, but his teamates are basketball court jesters. Celtics can too.
