every morning, my hair always sticks out at random crazy angles until I put a hat on or something for a little bit to get it to lay down. is it supposed to do that in the early stages?

also, random off topic question - do guys wear beads in their dreads also?

    i love morning hair lol

mine are to long to properly stick out or anything any more, but often they feel alot tighter and like..bigger and badder lol, and to go with my puzzled morning zombie face, makes me smile.

If it bothers you then just wear a tam, bandana or something at night to keep it more together, otherwise just ignore it. As for beads I still have one in my dreads which is now totally faded.I had a few more, but lost some over the years. Putting things in your dreads is really a matter of personal preference, if you want to, go for it. Fuck what anyone else thinks.

even if I wear a beanie at night, mine still stick out at crazy angles. its become part of my morning ritual to get them all pointing down or outward and then put a hat on them on the ride to work. By the time I get to work, I can take the hat off and they're behaving.

Of course mine are due to the fact that they're so short and so young.

Yeah, your's are really short I don't think I've seen anyone grow dreads from that length before, the op's are a little longer so maybe a tam might help. *shrug

The morning hair will become less crazy as your dreads mature and tighten :)

It happens more often than you perhaps think it might, just not on here.
