    Orangesunshine,

I am so sorry for your loss. You ask why? In truth,I don't know why.I have gone thru this many times myself when I was in vietnam. There where no answers then,I suspect there isn't any now.Grieve the loss of your friend, remember him with respect and love in your heart, and pray that this madness will end soon.Your friend isn't alone. He rests now with all of our soldiers who have paid the ultimate price for this country.

I feel the need to go myself so his death was not in vain. I don't even know what to feel. He was like my brother.

    edit: He was my Brother

I am sorry to hear of your loss also...I do not know, or understand , the reasons for these things...I do not understand war, or why people have to die in senseless battles. Feel the pain, ask for help and support when you need it, and know that time will help heal the things that you feel...you will always miss your friend, but perhaps there will be more clarity and wisdom in times to come. Blessings and good energy to you, and all of the people that know, and are touched by you and your friend.

Then honor him by living a good, full life. Keep him with you every day from now on.

I am saddened by the early parting of your friend and wish you healing, strength, and peace.

Oh Sweetie my heart aches for you.
Luv is right, live the best life you can in honor of him so he will live on through you.
His life was not in vain, we do not know what awaits us, nor do we know how our actions and inactions fully effect everything around us.
Just as his death here has caused you pain, your passing will grieve others.

Let his life be a lesson that violence is wrong, that war is not the answer, that good sweet people pay the price of others greed and stupidity.....
tell everyone you can what a wonderful person he was while here and that his spirit fills you.

Plant a tree in his honor so that it will grow and provide shade for someone and a home for something.
Be thankful that you had the blessing of knowing him.

Grieve and let yourself be sad, then live and never forget.
I will say a prayer that your pain will lessen and your memories will never fade,
    love to you,
    teepi

    Oh sweetie...
my heart goes out to you.
i am so sorry for your loss.
the way this whole "war" is going is wrong and innocent lives are being taken away from those we love.
    be at peace.
heal and in time you will remember the happy moments.
i am fortunate i have not had a love one pass on because of this but rather am fighting to make a difference and prevent my husband from getting drafted. he is my world and i will protect him.
get involved and stand for your brother dear. i will keep him in meditative thoughts for you and will pray for you. peace be with you for you are a wonderful person who can make a positive difference by helping his name live on. peace and love..love all the more to you.

    Peace Man,

    The Rose

    by Amanda McBrooom
from the soundtrack to "The Rose"

Some say love, it is a river
    that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
    an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
    and you its only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
    that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
    that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
    who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin'
    that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been to long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,
    just remember in the winter
    far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love
in the spring becomes the rose.

this song will hopefully calm you. if you want i could send a copy of it to you.

    later

    the tired flwoer child

Man...I'm sorry...I too have lost people close to me in some kind of "war"....but don't live your life in mourning, he wouldn't want that, he would want you to live a happy life. Just be strong man, and make it thru this. I know it must be hard, but you've got to leave the past in the past and keep on moving forward. Good luck, and I'm sorry.

You all are great. I truly feel like you all care and can feel the pain I am going through. This means alot to me. All the flags in my state are at 1/2 staff in honour of him.

    OrangeSunshine,

Please accept the sorrow I share for your loss. I know your heart is heavy but healing has begun, even now. It takes it's own sweet time, but slowly, steadily it will come. Greive in whatever way you need but please don't make any major decisions right now. You need to allow yourself time, patience and love.

Also, know that your friend will always be with you and will help you through this.

My heart and prayers for healing go out to you.

    All my love,
    Christine
