hey everybody. i was just wondering...is there any hippie communes that are still around today? and if so where?
I've read about a commune in Copenaghen a few days ago,but i don't remember where!you can see a picture of it on my gallery
Communes are indeed still around, I used to live on one in Colorado many years ago and I'm sure it is still there.
Night_Owl49 got it right. Check out the intentional communities website, there are still lots of communes around. Though with the bad rap that term has gotten, many perfer to call themselves intentional communities instead... doh
www.zendik.org These guys are really cool. My boyfriend and I met one of the members at a festival last week; he was really nice.
I learned about "The Farm" while i was pregnant and reading Ina Mae's book on midwifery and natural childbirth... i really wanted to have my child there...most of the hospitals up here in canada wouldnt let me have the type of delivery that I wanted..
earthmama...I met Ina Mae & her husband when they spoke at a tribute to Rainbow Farm. They are amazing people!
there were before 'the day' and there are after. they don't get advertised to avoid the real life equivelant of living spam. it's one of those, if you're ment to find one, and you're really yourself in a head space to do so ... or if you can afford a piece of land somewhere and you're willing to shaire it with others and then word gets arround ... =^^= .../\...
I love all the pictures I see of communes they're so cool, the way people use to live together, like kids always use to look so scruffy I like that. I wish I could live in a commune.
