The point is you yourself have never seen/smoked this weed. So you have no idea what it's like let alone if it's sativa or indica.

Anyway, it's your decision. If you get ripped off or you aren't happy with the weed you can always look at it as a learning experience....

Just move on. The whole Indica vs Sativa is largely marketing(not whether there's a difference but what they'll tell you you're getting). Unless this dude is the grower and knows the stain, the chances of you getting a specific strain/type are marginal at best. And, if he can't come through on a half, then he's not the grower.

 

well i have $115 of my own and $115 from my friend, i guess i'll just hold on to it just in case... my friend is going away on sunday for a month anyway so i'll just keep it till i get it. if i dont get it soon though i'll just back out. this money isnt going anywhere else though...

In my experience, the less you're responsible for in something shady like this, the less trouble you can land it. Just my 2 cents, but, if the guy still wants in, then let him know that he shares the risk. Meaning, if you get jacked or the bag's short or the weed is shitty that its his loss.

I'm not thinking that you'll screw him, but it is too easy for you to think you're doing him a favor while he is thinking of you as a dealer. If you aren't making a profit on hooking him up, let him know that he is giving you the money at his own risk. Otherwise, if the deal goes bad, you might be out your money and have him threatening to kick your ass unless you give him his money back.

the weed i get is infact amazing.

listen to ahimsa and marco...possibly some of the best advice so far...it really isn't hard to tell that this deal is a no-go. it's expensive weed, it may or may not be worth that expense, especially with this waiting on top of it.

tell your dealer that you want it precisely such-and-such day by so-and-so time for the price YOU want to pay (ie: lower the price). If they say no to the price or any of that other stuff, tell them they can call you when they get their bomb ass shit but your money is going elsewhere. selling ounces/half os isn't like chasing down a dime sack - if you are a dealer claiming to sell this shit then they should be at least somewhat punctual - especially for the price you are paying

well its not like im buying it FROM my friend... its more like im going with him and his dealer to buy it from his dealer's guy. so really i'm buying from this guy i've never met before and have no way of contacting... but my friend's dealer is buying the half for me. at least, thats what it sounds like since i'm going with him to get it. but basically i have no control over anything thats going on, so yeah its just really up in the air.

my friend's dealer always sells really good weed, i'm not doubting that its worth 200/half. 230 though... i dont know... plus all this bullshit waiting around... idk if i go with them to pick it up what do you think my chances are of lowering the price for making me wait so long?

tell your friend to tell the dealer the requirements, if they aren't met then obviously you dont wanna get the weed. if he is going to try and negotiate, you have a better understanding of how much he is trying to rip you off by.

you cant be laid back with punk kid dealers, because to them weed is serious income but they dont know how to do it.

if you are really that desperate at least dont give him as much - it isn't unheard of to demand some sort of punctuality (and to be a respected buyer, you should demand some)

it seems like he is some 15 year old jackass that tries to rip people off and isn't even good at it. whatever excuse he may use about getting the weed to you quickly and easily is obviously out the window - i'd tell him you want the bud for 180 and by...say monday or you aren't gonna buy it.

if he is anywhere near being semi-legit he will recognize that bad news spreads and that it isn't gonna be good for him when people hear he cant unload a halfounce...because that isn't that much weight at all

 

This is getting ridiculous. Anyone with a bit of common sense (and an appreciation for $230) would have just walked away days ago. You are setting yourself up for an unknown amount of failures. Let me give you a simple to do list.

1. Tell your friend to tell his dealer to tell his dealer to tell his grandmother to tell her cat to tell his most recent shit that you don't want the overpriced, long delayed weed.

2. Let your friend know that you no longer have the patience for this and you would rather not be responsible with such a large sum of money especially when he/she is leaving in a few days. Get the money back to them ASAP and warn them of the bullshit that has gone on so far.

3. Locate other weed. If you do so, let your friend know if they still are interested in purchasing a large quantity with you. Even if you don't find anyone by Sunday, let your friend know that you are still looking out for them and have some guilt for holding on to their money for so long.

Three simple steps and the only downfall is you may not be getting weed if you don't have any other hookups. This situation is far too sketchy to even waste your time on. First of all, you are going through an unnecessary amount of people. I've had to do this when finding more difficult to obtain drugs and it never turns out to be easy. For every other person you deal with you might as well decrease your chances by 50% of getting hooked up. For every person you don't know that you have to rely on you should probably be reducing your chances by 80-90%. Second of all you are walking into this whole thing blind without a scale. Even if the top guy weighs out a solid 14 grams for you, how many hands are going to touch that bag and have the opportunity to "sample" it. There is no definitive way to eyeball quanities like that. I split a half one time with a friend and it basically filled up the bottom inch of a sandwich sized ziplock bag. Most people would tell you that the bottom inch of a ziplock bag would be roughly a quarter and I thought it was too. I weighed it out and it was exactly 14.1 grams on my scale and a friend's scale. The same can happen the other way around. A friend of mine was given permission from his parents to grow a single plant in his room during his senior year of high school. Due to a lack of growing knowledge, he came out with a normal sized (6 inches tall or so) mason jar of weed. I thought it wasn't too bad of a yied for a single small plant grown under less than optimal conditions until he sold me a gram that was a nug the length of my index finger because the bud was so fluffy. Finally, you have no idea what your getting. If this has to pass through several hands and gets down to you and you decide it's not worth $230 then there will be a lot of angry dealers that have to send that half back up the ladder.

and anyway, bone dry nugs are the way to go. i used to leave mine out to dry if i ever bought any.

 

i'm gonna text my friend today and tell him that this is all sketchy and shit, and if john (his dealer) doesnt have a scale for when we're buying it then i'm not bothering with this anymore, and if i was paying $230 then i'd at least want to get the weed when the guy said he'd get it to me, and its been like 5 days so if the price cant be reduced to like $200 then fuck this, esp. since i dont know what i'm buying... i'm not worried about it being shit weed or anything lower than dank because thats what my friend's dealer buys and he knows what he's doing. but for $230 it would have to be like... super dank haha, and i dont want to wait all this long and finally get over there and see some shit i could have paid less for.

only problem is this is my main connect for dank... i guess i'll just tell my friend all that and see if he can find me some other weed.
