I always liked the strong coffee and as many pancakes as I could eat breakfast.... They is some good pancakes, ill tell yeah what....
It's what I did for five years. When most were going to college I was armying. I got out three years ago, but I think I need to go back... maybe. I'm not 100% sure yet.
I have always wanted to join the defence forces in a non-murder role. Paid university education, good money, amazing life experience, a place to get the discipline I don't have. Its not going to happen while I'm young though, I fail medicals for storeman jobs.
I worked in hospitals the whole time I was in. I spent most of my down time posting on this site actually.
Despite what's posted here I'm still rejoining (maybe) so no matter what smart and brilliant (debateable) posts you have I don't care (I'll check this thread every 30 seconds after I post it) you jerks do deserve a little clemency (Me not posting here too much)
Just don't get killed, and if you can, post in theater. it'd be even cooler if you could get some squad pics.
I'll do my best not to get killed. My first tour I never went overseas because I was lucky... this time I won't be so lucky.
After I left the air force I never looked back; But then again I went directly into college and with all the pussy being tossed my way and with the freedom that civilian life provides; I still haven't looked back Hotwater
If that's what you really wanna do, then awesome ! I'd join the army too if I was a bit more athletic Srsly.
Me too! Right now! w00t! Its so great not having any friends or family near by. Let me give you a list of why you got out in the first place and why I am getting out. Just incase you forgot... 1. No reliable constant friends 2. No family to be found anywhere 3. Having a much less intelligent person make you do pushups or something equally as retarded 4. Having to work more than 8 hours a day, everyday 5. Having to do PT in the morning whether you like it or not 6. Not having any real girls around (lady like girls... not sluts) 7. Having to wear the same cloths 24/7 when deployed 8. Having no right if you get into weird shit (seriously, look it up) 9. Getting shit on, e.g. doing a 27 hour shift then being woken up at hour 4 of off time to do something 10. No one thinks what you are doing is right 11. Risking your LIFE 12. Having a roommate (if your single) 13. No facial hair or hair styling 14. Working with 80% criminals 15. If someone looses something your signed for, getting a no pay due for over priced army equipment 16. Not having a 'home' 17. No drugs! 18. No life benefiting you after the army. The army only makes you more different than civilians 19. Reduction in rank from civilian to military (and from what you were) 20. Breaking rules just being part of this forum 21. Going to afghanistan (which is getting attacked 4-5 times a week in the best parts (you WILL go, u know that though)) I will stop there. But there are many more reasons. The army is a crappy life. There is a reason you got out. If you want job security, then work harder at your current job. Did you know that I have been spit on twice since I have worn my uniform in public? They used to be proud of us, now they think we are murdering innocent people for no reason. If you think there is any glamor in it anymore, think again. Also, your in a non-combat arms MOS. You might have gotten lucky and had nice NCOs and leadership during your stay. Trust me, it can be much worse than your first time. Do you want to risk it?
