She did not purchase insurance or delivery confirmation, but I gave her a refund, because a postal error or somethign being lost in transit sucks and I am a nice seller. Well, this stupid bitch sends me an email back askign what credit card I refunded it to (this is a fucking 7 dollar item) and what credit card I used to ship it and the exact date and post office I shipped it from. I sent her a message back saying simply. : Here is a copy of the refund. I have no idea what card you used, as PayPal will nto tell me that information for privacy reasons. I refunded your money plus shipping, thus our transaction is considered closed. Please refer to your Paypal accoutn if you have any more questions.
The best thing about being a small buisness owner, I've banned 5 people I don't like or who I pressumed would be difficult from buying from my store. I refuse to put up with anyone's shit for $$$

I now, I am awful A refund within 15 minutes of telling me you didn;t get the item.... horrible buisness owner. I am so pissed. The husband's takign me to eat, get weed and fabric shop.

Some people are just ignorant, you just can't help that, I sold a TV to a lady once who was pissed because it didn't come with HDMI cabling, when I set up her order I asked her would she be using this, and that... she just wanted to set up her TV service and that was about it, so I recommended just the TV and mount... she said she thought it came with, that is why she didn't mention... seriously? ah. She was okay when I explained it to her, but some people. PS Did Adam ever respond to that PM, I guess he has just logged off right before it was sent, I told him to check his PMs I have the address as well if he didn't. I won't get mad if it gets lost in the mail. hahaha

I don't know how I got so lucky. I don;t deserve him. He is so nice and non-judgemental and hardworking. It's really tireing trying to keep up sometimes though. Knowing you aren't capable of doing as much for someone as they are doing for you. I hate to sound like a whiner, but my wife self-esteem is really low.
On one of my online stores they have a rating system and a way to report non paying buyers. The customer ordered about $900 worth of seed. He did not pay and after 2 months of sending invoices to him. So we reported him as a non paying buyer and then he gave us negative feedback on the transaction, even though he did not pay. I have come to the conclusion that there is a small percentage of people who are assholes, and they will always be assholes. But I can definitely relate to your thread.
GRRRR so frustrating. I had to cancel two sales today due to non-payign buyers. The paperwork is a pain in the ass on Etsy to cancel a sale and I hate paperwork (another reason i left my job). Andy was talking about how I should power things out for awhile and build up a lot of stock and then we can hire someone to help produce enough stuff to open my own website. I am thinking he may be right. How do you manage everything? Do you plan for slow months, or is your buisness so evolving, that each month is better than the previous?
Well as far as managing things, all my businesses are designed to be run on a notebook computer. The economy has hit business hard. But I adapt. right now I am learning to do more with less. Cutting costs now will put me in a better position when things turn around. The businesses are moving into more specialized markets. Inventory is real important. Or perhaps you designing and others producing the product for you. You actually have lots of options.
BTW...I am not bitching. I make a profit every month. But compared to last year we are down about $50,000 worth of orders.
