i do believe this is the least amount of news covering a rainbow gathering i can ever recall.. well, since the internet came about..

hopefully no news is good news.

BTW, USFS is reporting on their twitter site hat 1200 people came in yesterday bringing the total on the land to 7000.

I just returned. Can't estimate # people, but can say it was a good party while I was there. I think it's wise to expect to interact with law enforcement. If you don't, well, good. I was in a car that was stopped, but not searched and my buddy was also stopped and not searched. The officers who came up to the dancing and drumming while we were there seemed like peace officers. It might have been different if we were illegal in some way. At least some of the police understood there was a real shortage of terrorism, methamphetamine manufacturing, child pornography, bank robbery, human trafficking, financiers stealing billions, and so out there in the mountains, so they didn't seem too intense. But I'm only talking about what I saw while I was there.

Weather was great - typical mountain showers in the afternoon. I was glad I had an umbrella when I took a wrong trail carrying quite a few bottles of water in a backpack.

Great drum circles and dancing. A good old-fashion hippie party.
