My computer burst into flames last night.

So, I'm posting from a laptop. first off.

and I'm withdrawing like a heroin addict.

years ago I saw some boards in a Sun Fire going up in flames. Very impressive. Good to be out of the server room before it is flooded with CO2 .

That's pretty dern awesome. I had a PC once that burned out, but not like that. There was no smoke or anything, but when we opened it up, everything inside had char marks on it. It was a piece of shit anyway...
And I really miss my laptop, but it was also an Acer, and like most of them, the motherboard burned out and shorted everything out. I can start it up now, but only half of the screen illuminates and it shuts down unexpectedly. Worthless. I miss having one, though.

My laptop's been through a lot. Sometimes it goes to bed with me, or we enjoy a nice evening on the terrace.

Yes, it is never a good idea to try to play your computer even if it seems to be a good rhythm instrument. I would stick to bongos.

I have never been able to get used to laptops, whether it be the noxious fumes coming out of the midget keyboard or the shitty system specs.
