Live streams! http://c895worldwide.com is from my hometown, Seattle. High school radio station. Dance music all day, which is OK, in fact it's great since it's on the FM dial and they have no commercials, and they stream online at 128K. Times are west coast USA PST. Sunday night 6 to midnight: On the Edge Industrial electronic, somewhat dark electronicy/German/european/rockish, I love this. Kinda the melancholy trance before the work week. Wednesday night: 8 or 9 to midnight: TRANCE Favorite thing ever! Trance night. Non stop electronic rhythm. Friday night like 8 or 9 till 5 AM: Electrobox/vortex/overdrive etc Paaaaaarty house/electronic/techno/BEEP BOOM THUNK boom beep ELECTRONIC SOUNDS ARE YUMMY. Saturday night like 8 or 9 till 5 AM: Electrobox/vortex/overdrive etc Paaaaaarty house/electronic/techno/BEEP BOOM THUNK boom beep ELECTRONIC SOUNDS ARE YUMMY. Check it out now or tomorrow night, it's still going. Really good stuff, the latest world music in the genre. Maybe you guys should schedule your "vacations" with your "travel agent" around these nights, I don't know, it's just really good music on these days, either way. http://c895worldwide.com/web/streaming/c895wm128.asx Direct link to streaming for Windows Media Player. This station has greatly improved my life. Lyrics to song playing right now at 2:30 AM, I'd say it's house, it's reggae kind of artist singing, "free yourself from the concrete jungle, smoke the ganja bowl by bowl"
These sites let you choose your own music. http://www.di.fm/ is awsome, in fact it's better in an overall sense for utility since it's 24/7 electronic. DigitallyImported, all electronic music, many streaming stations 96K WinAmp streams of all electronic music categories, insane! It has everything! I realize that what c895 plays on Sunday nights is "future synthpop" like VNV nation and I love that stuff! Kind of darker. c895 is better because there are no commercials and they have a 128K stream and they have new music right away, it's a real radio station, not just an online mush. DI has like a commercial an hour or something, and it's a 15 second thing asking you to pay for membership. It's good for choosing genres, it has it all. http://www.pandora.com/ If you haven't heard of Pandora, try it. It's best for music discovery but great for playing certain artists/songs/genres. You can make your own radio stations! Post anything better/good for electronic music.
Awesome links. Thanks. I've been trying to find sites to discover some new electronic music. Too many sites are dedicated to electro, trance, house and dnb. I don't mind dnb but I'm looking for breaks in particular. Need some new goa/psy as well. Been a bit drained on Simon Postford.
yea, i love all of simon postford's projects, but there's so much else out there...if you're looking for psytrance look up space tribe...they're crazy.
OMG! http://www.spacetribe.com/music.php That music video is like the best thing I have ever seen! That is great and I want to take a "vacation" to that some day!
Xanonimity, you can't get much better than di.fm. And I'm also from the area and listen to c89.5 regularly I would add audiojelly.com and beatport.com to the list of sites to check out. Sure they're stores, but they always have the popular releases. At least you can know what new tracks have come out.
Cool, thanks, I'll check it out sometime. It will give me leads for stuff to download probably and then when I get cash money flowing in I can contribute back to the music industry. http://c895worldwide.com/web/streaming/c895wm128.asx is trance streaming now for two and a half more hours!
IDM, breakcore and dubstep are nice. Dubstep gets old quickly though. Venetian Snares is the dank shit.
