Help me decide what to eat. I've eaten healthy all week and I want something greasy

i haven't tried grilling bacon.

if asked, i would guess you're wanting to be asked what your "little problem" is, but i haven't been asked, so i suppose it doesn't matter.

my only concern with grilling bacon is that fat dripping into the coals would make the fire flare up. this happens with steak and, hell, even chicken. bacon has way more fat than either of these. i'd be afraid of burning it.



wait, nvm. it sounds perfect for me. i hate chewy bacon - i like it as crispy as i can get it without burning it. i should try this.

I didn't really expect you to ask, but I didn't really want to say it straight out either. I have to be on a restricted diet or else I get sick. I don't know why you needed to know that. I guess I'm kind of apologizing for it. Two years ago, you and I would have had some great chats about food and the like.

If you want perfect bacon for a caesar salad or the like, try grilling.

 

What about a gas griller where the bacon sits on a tray and the flames are above it? I put down foil to stop the fat from dripping into the bottom.

Or is that called broiling in America?

 

yep, sounds like broiling in a gas oven.

We call that shit "barbecuing". We also call the "grill" on the barbecue the "poofter" grill because real men only use flat grills (a flat area without any holes in it).

 

Aww this thread is making me miss going to Waffle House with my friends. We would play the gay ass Waffle House songs on the jukebox, smoke outside with the crackheads and eat off of each other's plates. Dude I could go for hash browns right about now.

 

barbecue and grilling is more or less interchangeable in the US. but purists and southerners would say that barbecue is slow cooked with indirect heat, whereas grilling is direct heat from coals and/or flames
