like REALLY scared, its pretty much gone now but it was storming like crazy for like 20 minutes. he was terrified/still is and i feel really bad for him. we dont have anything for him to take to calm him down but i just had a thought, you think if i got my dog high it would help him? ive gotten him high a few times before and he doesnt really mind it, hes usually really calm anyway but he just takes a nap or something. like i know it doesnt bother him at all. but i also dont want to waste my weed haha would he only need one hit? (by hit i mean i take a hit and blow the smoke towards him and he breathes it in)
you cant know for sure how it affects your dog - if the animal likes the smoke, thats one thing, but i dont think it is nice to blow it in their face so they are forced to breathe it in my dog sometimes sniffs out my weed and comes where im at when im smokin and sits and waits, but other times she doesnt like it - i try not to force it on her
i dont blow directly in his face, i blow near him and he'll come over and breathe it in. he also tends to follow me around alot more when im high/have weed on me haha
Your dog is? My roomates dog FLIPS out everytime there is a thunderstorm... and in western NY, thats quite a bit... The dog literally runs around shaking and drooling and scratching every fucking door in the apartment... Once we put him in one of those travel cages and he bit on the steel gate in the front of it and pulled one of his teeth out trying to bite his way out... I used to love thunderstorms... now with this dog here I dread them
The poor dog our cat is scared everytime my uncle comes over he runs up stairs, he dose not like people I don't know why know one has ever hurt him
Some dogs are prone to freaking out from thunder, and other loud noises, like fireworks. Herding dogs tend to have this problem. Its their nature to be focused on everything around them, and react to it. Like if they hear a sheep going crazy, it might mean a wolf is attacking it. When that dog hears thunder it sees it as a threat, but is only able to react by freaking out. Although not all sheepdogs are like that, one of mine is, and the others aren't. As far as weed goes, I think giving weed to a dog is like giving weed to a toddler. You can't really tell if their enjoying it or not, so its best not to try and get them high. You can get medicine from the vet to calm your dog down, I think even stuff like xanax.
my friend's dogs are like 20 times worse. theyre both border collies and they'll jump in the shower or go behind the fishtank and knock shelves over and stuff. they just do really weird things and get really nervous.
