Maybe. It got me out in the fresh air, into the countryside. If it wasn't a flat 55 hours a week I could have done it for years.

we have 40 hour work weeks in the u.s.

does that include lunch breaks or something?

 

Didn't include lunch breaks. We have 40 hour weeks too. It basically mean't that I could walk out of the job and claim unemployment straight away on the basis that they couldn't force me to work that many hours. They wouldn't negotiate either though. The staff turnover was huge. If they used their heads they would have people alternate, three days during the week and two days on the weekend.
