Do you like gay people.

I don't care if someone is gay or not... I like people because I like people.... you find rude ignorant arrogant assholes and awesome humorous beings in every crowd... people are people.

Some gay people that I've met are cool.

It's the gay people that act super flamboyantly gay that annoy me. Like, are you starving for attention, are you being "yourself" or what?

 

they make me uncomfortable but I don't dislike them just because they're gay.........I dislike them because they're humans

I didn't even realise I had posted this till a few replys were posted ( I though it hadn't posted correctly).
So I perhaps didn't articulate my thoughts that well.
If you want me to stand behind my words...then I guess what I am saying is: Are you homophobic?

However, I did self-censor at least once in not using "gay" as a negative adjective on account of his presence in a thread. I hope he won't take offense when I use the word in such a manner in the future.

 

I like people based on their character and how they respond in this world...if they prefer the same sex that doesn't bother me in the least.

I personally feel that there is a difference between using gay as the term for homosexual, and gay as a negative adjective, like you said. As long as your intent is not to insult, I don't see why there should be a problem.

Sure, I love gays! But don't pretend that you're the new black. I feel awful that you have to deal with hatred and the ignorance of others but you don't have it as bad as the blacks did hundreds of years ago.
