I had no idea the actress from the X-Files made music, Holy shit she's hot!!! The songs not bad either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFpBwVNhAz0&feature=related
I'm the largest X-Files nerd I know of, I have every season but not any of the movies, I thought the movies kinda sucked.
No I'm not that bad I just own all the seasons on DVD, and as for me being "the largest" X-Files fan I'd like to state for the record that I misspoke and I am of average size.
Well, I videoed the vast majority of them onto video. Good times. Then DVD came to prominence. Bad times.
Yes and now Blue ray and the such is on the way, do you remember when the choices in media distribution was between VHS and Beta Max? Just ways to get people to repurchase what they already own, but hey what can I say I want to hear an episode of the X-Files or Star Trek TNG in the best sound and picture quality possible,in other words they got me. I remember my grandfather had one hell of a laser disc collection, I'd like to speak with him and see if I can procure it from him. Whats next I would wonder?
I'm only slightly older than you are. I don't remember the VHS and Beta Max wars. I don't mind progress. I could have purchased a cheap Video to DVD copier...but I didn't have the time. What next? I think they will stop putting The X files on new formats.
I guess there's only so much "digital enhancement" that can squeezed out of old media, I'm not against progress either, I don't want to go give the wrong impression. I doubt they will stop putting old sitcoms onto new formats, there's just so much money to be made in the reselling of the product, plus the extras they can always add will help to keep things a bit fresh. Anyways back on topic, Gillian Anderson is a fox!
Kinda English. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8pgEoS74m8&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyN5H6Nlo6A&feature=related
I had no idea, I guess I never really noticed it because she masks it in the X-Files, pretty sexy indeed. I wonder how many people go about there day to day lives faking an accent for whatever reason, didn't Madonna get accused of something like that? I noticed you were from England and would like to ask you a question about sketch comedy shows from your side of the pond. The question is as follows, when an Englishman with the intent to spoof an American accent goes about doing so what parts of the dialect to they exaggerate, do they speak more slowly or fall back on the drawl that people from the south are known for? I suppose an easy way to answer this would be to link some current English sketch comedy shows, in which there portraying an "American". I'm curious because I myself on occasion will sometimes try to imitate your stereotypical early 1900's slurry English accent, "Good day guv, pip pip" and all that. Anyway I've probably been rambling, what were we talking about again?:ack2:
I can't say I have seen many British sketch shows with American accents involved. It is more likely they will be impersonating a famous American person. If not, It is just some generic American accent....not worth too much study. It has calmed down a little from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8qw3oWvDpo I guess it is true to say the brashness is still evident to a certain degree. I'm sure Madonna tweaked her accent a little...but I don't think it was as pronounced as the media would have us believe. "I'm curious because I myself on occasion will sometimes try to imitate your stereotypical early 1900's slurry English accent, "Good day guv, pip pip" and all that." You would probably get your face filled in if you did that here.
