As of late I have been listening to years of the GD as a whole. Such as right now I am listening to every show in 1977 in order. It really helps me listen to the shows that are hidden jems, or appreciate some new songs that I don't spin as much. I'm at 3/18/77 right now and have already found a new love for "Sugaree" and "New Minglewood Blues".
i havent been listening to shows in order but i love shows from 77 sugaree is one of my favorite songs...when you get the 10/18/77 you'll find that that sugaree is amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
77 is an awesome year all around...theirs a real good like 20min sugaree but i forget the date of it though i still prefer the 10/18 one
I'm almost done the Wonderland March shows, and they are great! I would be done, but I went back to check out the Scarlet and Estimated from 3/20 a couple times.
I had a grow room once with a 6 multi-disc player in it and i used to make GD sets. And let them play forever.. At one time, the same 6 discs played for over 2 yrs straight, 24hrs a day. 7 days a week.. I would occasionally change it, but there was a strange atmosphere in that room.. The dead played constantly. But eventually the motor in the player died.. If I ever come cross a extra player, Ill set one up again.. I kinda miss going into the room and not instantly hearing the dead..
I do that with GD albums.......amazing how the tunes seem different each and every time I listen to them .......DIG!!
once u get to the '82 tours, pay close attn. to Music Never Stopped...not my fav. shows, but some of the best run-throughs of one of my fav. songs
