Do you think black people smell funny?

Yeah, but race threads here at Hip forums, all I seem to see are ones started by little white dudes that think something like this is funny and wonder why some might get their knickers in a knot becuase they've never been part of a minority.

It for the most part seems all one way, for individual thread it might not mean much, collectively its like ugh geez.

not reading any further here.....all crowded subways are odorous..trying to pin it on black people is just plain wrong.....by the way...some of my 'black' friends would say that a broken nose would fix the problem temporarily for you and they would be wearing 'givenchy'

 

oh god, i know i shouldnt even say this but, when has that ever stopped me before?

i used to do housekeeping in a resort that was really popular with asians....

i'll just say this, when you walked into a room, your nose could tell exactly who was staying in there....

People of different ethnicities definitely stink differently.
Back when the European sailors first arrived in Asia, the asians apparently complained that they stank something awful. The feeling was likely mutual, and probably because neither side was used to the other's scent.

I probably should have worded the OP a little better, but look how much controversy it created and how much fun that was.

 

I'm pretty sure different races do smell different, like biologically. I think it has to do with oils or glands or something.

I have black, white, and NA friends who smell distinctly different. I was even with a Pakistani chick before and she also had a different smell than other races.

So to answer your question, no black people don't necessarily smell funny, they just smell different than other people (as every race does).

 

Everybody smells different. Just ask your dog.

i was just telling my lover about this thread and he wanted me to add that when he worked construction out in bc the paki's smelled like "curry cum" whatever that means? and he said the more of them there were the worse it was, and you could smell em before you could see em.

 

I have lived with chinese people and I can vouch that this is undeniably true.

yes, everyone does have their "own" natural scent, but when you add in the mix cultural diets it creates a distinct odor...

im not sayin it to be racist or mean, it is unfortunately true to my experience.

I've heard it from several black people that white people smell like wet dog.

And from several Asian people that we smell like onion.

 

That's what I mean, I wonder if caucasions smell funny to other races?

i could care less what people think about my "scent"...im the one who's gotta live with it, and if my partner doesnt complain its a good day.

some of the overly pc people on here are hilarious. seriously, do you go around introducing yourselves as "hi, im so and so, and im not a racist" ?

 

People can also smell like their homes. Especially if the building is really really old. The smell gets on your skin, hair, clothes, everything.

 

Yeah, all ethnicities have different overlaying scents which I bet are much more noticeable to other ethnicities.
