Why do you people hate saying how much they make?

Make that 4 offers in less than two weeks as I just finished with my phone interview, and am now enrolled in my third training class in that same time period....

    No jobs my ass...

Good for you, doc. I guess it's got to be the same everywhere, right?

Agreed! Jobs are only going to those working the hardest to get them.

Loans mostly, financial aid and my first couple of years were covered by some money I got after my mom died. Sorry about the attacking comment but her diatribe has pretty much settled right between the drole and ad hominem sections of conversation.

I've submitted my resume to almost 100 places been ignored by about 85-90, rejected by a few and offered 5 interviews, one which I turned down due to the commute.

In two weeks, I have had 4 job offers. Took 3, and resigned 2 at the end of training.

It's not like the shit fell in my lap... so YES, it is the same everywhere. I applied not only to jobs I didn't want, but jobs I didn't think I was qualified for. And you know what? One of the jobs I wasn't qualified for, hired me.

But the key component is that I put in 100 resumes in less than two weeks time. How many other people can say they've even come close? It's called "work ethic"... You're supposed to have it, even if you're not currently working.

Applying at 4 or 5 places a week, or even each day, isn't going to cut it. Shotgun your resume or apps, whatever, and see what comes back.

    Basically, fuckin' look harder...

there could be a number of reasons. i know a girl who is ridiculously rich but she refuses to tell people how much she makes because she doesnt want people assuming shes a typical stuck up "rich person". other people just think its private information and not really anyones business.

me personally, i dont mind disclosing that type of information. i dont make a shit load of money...each pay check i get is right around 600. and i cant expect to make a lot going to school full time and volunteering. i also dont need much at this point. i just have to pay the two or three bills i have and take care of spending money. food and everything else is covered by my school. i like being able to take care of myself and not ask my rich daddy for money
