Oh, I was thinking of John Maynard!

So I've looked through the wikipedia article and didn't see it...why is the town called Milton Keynes?

I first thought maybe John Milton and John Maynard Keynes were from that particular town, but no...It just seems odd to give a town a complete human name.

Although I was born in Sally Jessy Raphael...

 

To be honest I have no idea why it was named that way. Could be that Milton Keynes village was here when they built the city or something like that.

 

Yeah, that's what the wikipedia said...Maybe the village was called that because this really rich bastard named Milton Keynes set up his manor out there and the town grew up around it.

But if that's the case, I'd have called it Rich Bastard Manor.

 

LMAO. It might suit most of the place too.
