Capitol Hill is a great area. Just be ready to shell out some big ones... and be aware that this is where the gay population lies. Trust me, there is never a dull moment in Capitol Hill. Ballard is also a great area. I'm not really familiar with locations north of Seattle, but I would say steer clear of Tukwila and Federal Way (in South Sound). Some good locations south of Seattle are Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, and some parts of Kent. Peace
