    Like uhhh High baby ...

Ummm like what i waz wondering brother is ummm if I am REALLY a hippie ... or just a fake carbon copy of the culture established by the REAL hippies who were draft dogers growing their hair long as a disguise to evade authorities.

Cause like here in canada there was like NO draft baby.
We all just grew our hair long to be hip, cool, gtoovy, and right on baby.
Following a fad, trying to fit an image, very unoriginal, very fake, phoney, farcical, fraudulaent, and flakey.

So like ummm ... well my question is :

"Am I hip cool and groovy enough 2b a hippy"?

Please don't tell others your Canadian. There are other Canadians on this site and I'm more than certain I speak on behalf of EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM when I say "you're giving Canadians a bad name...hippies too"

People originally called hippies cuz wore bellbottoms way down on hips & had long natural hair. It caused a swinging motion from behind.

i don't think being "hip, cool, and groovey" have very much to do with it.
being a real pacifist, and not just against wars as such, has quite a bit more.

actually the whole 'drug' thing was part of the media image too.
not that there weren't a lot who did, later on, after the image was already out there, too. just, maybe its just me, but what i think of as the real hippies were the civil rights, peace, and later ecology movements.

and while one doesn't HAVE to hate ALL of capitolism, i still think it's pretty phoney to support it too. or for that matter, get all fanatical about ANY ideology.
