so annoying -_-

today was an event. I lost my wallet the other day, didn't think much of it, figured it was prolly in my room and i just wasnt looking hard enough. the next day my car's check engine light turns on.

Well today (4 days later i believe) i finally got the motivation to get everything taken care of. I go to the bank to cancel my card and i found out its been being used. mostly at sonic. little fuckers. got that canceled, have to make a phone call tomorrow to get my money back. shouldnt be too big of a deal, gotta buy a new license though, been driving without one for almost a week now.

after that i drove my happy ass all the way to the ford dealership to see whats up with the CEL. another fucking cat converter problem which = $200. $500 less than my last cat converter problem though. fucking bullllshitttt. so much debt. I have to take it up there again tomorrow so they can work on it cause they had to order the part they needed for it.

then later went to my friends house and my dad sent me at least one text every 2 minutes for a couple hours asking my questions about my bank statement and shit trying to solve crimes like he's sherlock holmes or something. i kept telling him "i'm at my friends, worry about it later when i have the resources to tell you what you need to know"
fucker still keeps texting me, i threw my phone. it's not broken at all except it won't hold a charge. it dies after 5 mins so i gotta constantly keep it on the charger.

and then you know what? the booze i drank tonight didn't take away the annoyingness, nor the bud i smoked.
it wasn't until on the road home tonight at 1:30 am with no people on the road that i felt relieved of the stress and realized none of it even matters. i had my head in the clouds all day and you know what cleared the cloudiness?

as long as you dont have to get your car to pass inspection any time soon, don't worry about it - if you have to replace the whole thing it wont hurt to just wait until you have extra fundage or whatever. a messed up cat wont do anything to your car either

i'll jump on the dissing ford bandwagon too. my first car was a chevy cavalier that i bought for 3 or $500. my second car (now) is a ford taurus i got for $3000, and i've had more problems with the ford than the chevy.

but then again, my dad has always drove a ford truck. and he takes care of em, but they last a LONG time. his ranger went well over 200,000 miles, and his F150 is still kickin at close to 200,000

I know you dont have to have a catalytic converter, at least MOST of them you don't need. my first cat conv. problem was the bank 1 cc and it was killing my gas mileage and fuckin shit up, so yeah i actually did HAVE to get it replaced. this time was just some bullshit that my dad made me get done -_-

that sounds like our fords. we have 3 fords and all of them run like champs cause my dad always took care of em. one explorer has 245,000 + miles on it and its still a beauty. 98' and my dads ranger has 210,000 on it and it just hums down the road and its a 94'

but never would i get one.(unless its a stang') you gotta keep workin on them.

I didn't have one on my old car and it always passed inspection, because there was something on there that looked like one, lol. It was awesome, sounded meaner than hell. It was a little granny car and it roared.

my dad's F150 is a "97 i think
and the ranger was probably a late 80s model, cuz i remember it from when i was like 7 (1992)

 

if you really want to get a car that'll last... get something pre '90.. back when cars were actually meant to run forever.. i cannot complain though.. im buying my parents old 00 Neon.. and it never really had any big problems with it.. and it gets great gas mileage.. 35-40mpg

my dad is tryin to make that 97 (it could be 96) F150 last awhile b/c cars made after that year have to pass NY state emissions for inspection
that means if your check engine light is on (could be anything -usually minor or electrical) you gotta fix it before you can get it inspected. basically a major pain in the ass that i'll have to deal with in sept. my engine light is on
