thinking about getting dreads...

i dont know if this question was already asked but i didnt feel like looking through the FAQ thread..... i have ALOT of thin wavy hair i was wondering if dreads would work/look good with my hair type? also someone in my class got dreads and hated them because the hair dresser screwed up.... is it hard maintenence and hard to get done? thanks for your help

About looking good, it is all a matter of taste. I think dreads look good on anyone, unless they are waxy. And for it working, I don't think you really get how they are done.
Everyone here will tell you that a salon will not do you any good, (not all, but you get the point)

what looks good is subjective.
I have reallythin slightly wavy hair and it is dreading up nicely so far.
I wouldn't recommend going to a salon or "getting dreads done".
Really READ THE FAQ.Read everything you can, why not it is interesting.
dreads take nothing but time and loads of patience- if you don't have enough to read up on them I dunno if I can help..

i wasnt trying to be lazy..... im dyslexic it takes me a while to read things so i thought i would save myself the trouble by just asking.... but i will find some time to read it
