Went out at 7, came back at 8:30 and now it's quarter of five in the fucking morning and I still can't sleep. This happens every time. Fuck that shit. I'm never touching it again.
i think you'll touch it again it's just a substance and most of the time you say you won't touch it but then do it's just drinking.... nothing to be angry at it's just a substance it happens make the best out of the situation you are given if the substance becomes something that you're addicted to <i do not think you are @ 21> then stop drinking but whatever it's just fun at this point in your life
If you're having trouble sleeping, heres a site that helped me tremendously. http://www.well.com/~mick/insomnia/
22 in 3 days, actually. I am angry at the substance because every time I drink it (has been about 4 times now), I have a lot of trouble sleeping. You're right, I might give in again, seeing as I did last night, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. I'm not saying no one else should drink. I'm saying I obviously don't tolerate it well. Chamomile! Of course! Thanks! I was so wired, I lost all my senses. Interesting article anyway. I think I'll keep it on hand.
I find that happens when i drink alcohol with coca cola or any fizzy drink really, i can sleep if i have been drinking beer... try beer. :cheers2:
i'm 21 and in 2 months and 7 days i'll join you in that thing is people our age will have different opinions of it the substance doesn't do much, the place we are in our lives does your trouble sleeping is placed in the substance regardless of other people i can almost guarantee you of that fixing yourself is the key aim, alcohol might have an aspect of it but honestly you need to rid yourself of the need...if it is a need you feel alcohol is nothing, find yourself and you'll find that booze is nothing
Beer was what did it to me. So, the fact that I only have insomnia when I have had alcohol means nothing and I must have an underlying problem that just happens to manifest when I have alcohol in my system? Okay... I see what you are trying to do, but really I think you're looking into it too much. Even that article Sir Schizo posted said alcohol interrupts sleep patterns. It's not like I pulled the idea out of my bum. It's actually quite well-documented. It's always the same- I'll have a drink, feel really sleepy, conk out for maybe 45 minutes (an hour if I'm lucky), then I'm up the rest of the night. I definitely see a pattern. I'm just going to avoid the drug as much as I can help myself. I don't drink that often, anyway.
um... i know for a fact that alcohol disrupts sleep patterns... i didn't realize i posted a thought that allowed you to persecute me personally for that one of the main things i said in both of my posts is that anything that you put into alcohol is self inflicted you might have problems with booze but that's problems that was started with you before the booze that's all i said... i understand things that might have manifestations with booze but they do start with you drinking.... i drink myself so i know these things it happens i'm not saying you have problems with anything, you started these things... and alot of the things that you may perceive as problems are just perceptions that don't mean any thing
smoke pot, if you pass out you will have no trouble sleeping. alcohol affects me differently though. i always sleep really good when ive been drinking. but thats prolly because i drink until i pass out. I wont start drinking and then stop an hour and a half later. That is unheard of.
:chillpill: I must have misunderstood you. Now, I'm going back to bed before anything else goes down.
if you drink enough youl black out :cheers2: i usually fall asleep straight away when my heads hits the pillow after drinking.. i wake up early though
you all have to realize that its not the drinking thats keeping her up, its the stopping of the drinking.
Now that I have had a little more sleep, I'm ready to be reasonable. Reread what you posted and now I get it. Brain no worky on no sleepy. And in other news, I'm sick now (damn summer colds), so yet another reason my body may have been going haywire... Chemicals have never quite done what they are supposed to for me. Some people say a beer puts them to sleep, I say it keeps me up. Sometimes caffeine puts me to sleep when other times it keeps me up all night. My body's reaction to these things is so unpredictable, sometimes I think it would be easier to avoid them altogether, thus the swearing off of alcohol. We'll see how long it lasts. Nope. Just beer. And all I drank all day was water. For some reason, this made me :smilielol5: Maybe I should go back to bed... but I'm really kind of bored with it. Screw it. 3 hours is good enough just this once. I've got shit to do. *...sits at computer...*
Alcohol is a depressant, and therefore it should make you sleep easier. Dunno. Smoke some maryjane. That usually helps, especially if you're already drunk.
