todays baking day and we have a buncha canning to do as well so we are gonna need our energy.. we are having sour dough pancakes, bacon and fried green tomatoes.. only in the south ..
Fuckin' shit, that sounds amazing, I'm up waaaay earlier than I have to be at work and I wonder if I should try to make some toast or something.
fried green tomatoes rock.. we are actually getting a late start for baking day,but being we have no schedule it doesnt really matter.. the soundtrack for the day.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5p...fr1anLIiXwwmayMp4LCuld0rlHrnt4pkXstUkWANpFNay
woe shit, i just got my plate and the menu has changed.. eggs with hot sauce, bacon, grits and fried green tomatoes. i guess the sour dough pancakes are for another day..lol
Being Canadian, I've never had grits, but I am curious about them. I'll have to remember to try them next spring when I am in the south.
sugar?:ack2: i don't know how you eat it, but i do like a little butter sometimes. but salt and pepper is essential. i can't really imagine eating grits with sugar
well a true southerner would eat them with a couple fried eggs mixed up in them with salt and pepper but ive found that a bit much for most first timers.. lol
see that sounds good except for i don't like eggs. i wish i did, but i can't eat eggs without gagging on em....when i was a little kid i got into all sorts of things i shouldnt eat, and half the time when my mom would call the doctor he'd tell her to induce vomiting by feeding me raw eggs...apparently at first i loved eggs, but after a while i just associated them with throwing up lol the eggiest thing i can stand to eat these days is french toast lol which is a shame because i make good omelets apparently and they sound like they'd be awesome...but i can't stand the thought of eating just eggs or anything with a ton of egg in it, anything like that. hell, they even smell bad. its a shame really
