    I mean-
this is absolutely ridiculous.... i moved out of the country in hope people there could pull themselves together with out me.... but it seems i either should have stayed, or maybe even voted??? WHAT THE FUCK! Aren't there enough Americans on this damn board registered and of voting age??? what the hell is wrong with people? is McDonalds really the poison we think it is???
People, PLEASE!!!!!! ACT! PROTEST! get some fucking changes made, because I can tell you the stars don't look too bright for the good ol' USofA in the four years to come.... if you see all of the damage he's done to our nation and our reputation globally (nothing you can wuite understand unless you leave the states) then you'll comprehend (deeply!) what I'm saying...

Get together, don't be so emotionally and spiritually stingy anymore. PLEASE!!!!! there's a huge fucking tribe of us, of those that know (things here aren't at ALL what they seem!!) that SHOULD be bonding together and CHANGING THE WORLD! I mean this from the bottom of my heart.... I've only been in the netherlands during this whole thing (six months almost!!) and haven't seen the reaction in the rest of europe, but the current newspaper and magazine headlines read some thing like this; "Another Four Years?" and "Four More Difficult Years".... Now whether or not Kerry was a better option literally speaking (i'm sure he's got his own set of special interests!) Bush is NOT A FUCKING leader!!!!!! all I can say is good luck, really..... i hope things get better in some way...

are you saying that bush voters are unintellegent? Because according to CNN.com

    http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

49% of people that voted for bush were college graduates
kerry also got 49% and Nader at 1%.

I dont think eduacation level is an issue. Bush got the bible belt... That was a big chunk for him.

Its over now, I didn't vote for bush, but we all need to just put this election bullshit behind us. Right before the election, I got tired of hearing all the spin and bullshit, im sure people in the us are tired of hearing about it too. Its over. Please just get over it.

Americans have been conditioned into apathy from their society and culture. What do you expect? There's really no hope for America, in truth.

And to the above post, about college grads being the majority of the Bush voters. Who said that going to college makes you intelligent? I know plenty of people, in fact, the best minds of our generation are the minds that are too disorganized to handle college. If you went to college, it means that you were either rich enough, or structured enough, or truly desired to learn enough, to go. Going to college doesn't make you an intelligent person. Trust me, go look on college campuses nowadays. You'll find plenty of idiots.

    Losing all hope was freedom.

    Thank you for that.

Proved, once again, the intolerance of the left and the hypocrisy in their message.

Bush proved himself to be a leader for alot of people, while Kerry has never done anything worthy of leadership in his life.

Well, I believe that anyone who voted for George Bush is very uninformed, if not altogether unintelligent. If that’s truly half of America, so be it.

Actually, I think anyone who buys into the left/right paradigm is very uninformed, if not badly misled.

My father voted for Bush, and yes, I consider him to be very uninformed. But what can be expected from a person that works 50+ hours a week and gets all their news from the Murdoch media empire known as FOX News? FOX News is neither conservative nor right-wing. It is simply the propaganda rag for Bush and the neocons, and their agenda. I believe that FOX News, as well as the mainstream media in general, is responsible for much of this complicity found in many Americans who rely soley on these sources for news.

The elites rely on a society that is too overworked, materialistic, self-absorbed and dumbed-down to take the time to ask themselves the REAL questions. Instead, they allow the media to dictate how they think (or don’t think) and how they vote.

Many of the people who voted for George W. Bush this second time around voted for him on 1) issues based on morals, and 2) "homeland security".

The idiots who voted for him based on "morals" cannot see beyond the facade. They are so wrapped up in this bogus moral and patriotic bullshit that they automatically fail to question the administration's motives by not asking themselves the questions that should be asked. This might, after all, appear as being "unpatriotic". Apparently, questioning anything is unpatriotic. Patriotism is no longer about preserving civil liberties and standing up for the Constitution. It’s about unconditionally loving a fascistic regime of evil men who are only out for their own gain. Through the use of psyops and media control, they have essentially brainwashed half the country into supporting their sinister cause.

The “homeland security” issue is bogus as well. People think that the Bush Administration will protect them, when their only agenda is to take away our rights, leaving the federal government with more and more power over us; the people. It’s only a matter of time before people fall right into the trap of totalitarianism. Of course by then it will be too late. People don’t believe it could happen here. Well, it can and it will.

Then again, people don’t even realize that the globalists’ goal of 9/11 was to scare a country of feeble-minded sheep into submission, causing them to support the ever-increasing police state we are now witnessing, coupled with our increased imperialistic actions abroad. If we were indeed attacked by foreign terrorists, why can’t the idiots in this country just admit that they’ve won? Because it will only be a matter of time before the Constitution is eviscerated completely, and then there we be no such fucking thing as freedom.

Bush's first term in office has been nothing other than a complete disaster. The man has sent the country spiraling into debt. He also lied to get us into Iraq, which has also turned into a colossal disaster. Everything the man has said has been a total lie. The man has the IQ of a high school dropout, and I am sorry to offend any of you high school dropouts, but it’s true.

I could go on and on about why George Bush has been such a terrible president, but I would assume anyone who is fairly on the bright side would already know this.

I think most people who actually care enough to vote do get informed. I think the majority of the nation trusts George Bush as the better candidate to keep us safe. I voted for him, and I educated myself for months on the issues. When we first invaded Iraq, I was pissed. I wanted Bush out of office. But that was when I was uneducated. I never really paid much attention to politics until then, and once I really got into it, I decided that Bush would be the best option to lead this country thorough these rough times. And I don't think it's FOX news so much, I watch/listen to several different news stations. You can't really blame FOX when the majority of the other news stations were biased in favor of Kerry. If you are going to blame the media for the election results, then Kerry should have won b/c there were more mainstream stations pulling for him. The media is a business, remember that. And Sweet_Sangria, I deeply respect your decision to leave the country. I think more people who don't like the way things are going should get out. Go! Be happy somewhere else. It is your God-given right. Staying here and bitching isn't going to solve anything.

Comparing Bush to a high school drop-out isn't even relevant. I know plenty of people who hated high school, but they had the potential to make all As if they wanted to. Drop out doesn't equal stupid. (It is a bad choice in my opinion, but some are still smart)

I think Pressed Rat's post says it all, but still, I have a few questions.
What would be the point of imprisoning us in a police state? I mean, it would seem that they would want the system of mass consumption to keep on going. If they start policing people, consumption will probably go down. I mean, I raelly do not like the police state paranoia talk, because it doesn't really solve anything. It is a possibility, yes, but I'd think that the elite would want things to keep on going the way they are right now.

Now, if there was massive social unrest, which we might be seeing the beginning stages of it right now, I can understand then what the purpose of creating a totalarian state would be. But until then, I think it's a pointless option to ponder.

Police state doesn't mean we can't consume. We will still go out and get food and groceries, except everywhere you look there will be police and military, you will have to provide a finger scan and an eye scan to buy anything, and when you go out to your car, that car could only have been purchased with an eye and finger scan, and you can only get your license with those scans as well. Also, you will be microchipped and just anoter file on a massive computer with the entire population on it. You will be issued a national ID card as well...

    Peace and Love,

Well in the first place i can't believe that someone that actually frequents this board voted for bush (and calls herself a hippie, even?), and to a response i can't remember the name of, not only am i not what you'd call a 'leftist' but i am also not hypocritical, and here's an example for you, only referrencing the last six months of my life, but there are far more i could present you with if i had the time..... I have purposely removed myself from american society in every relevant way of the word, though they have my SSI number, and birth certificate, i have ceased to exist to them or any western government for that matter refusing to pay them taxes, living life quitely, oh so simply, and doing the most to make immediate and local changes to alter this destructive environment we've all been thrown under for four more years... i hate that i've had to leave any family back in California-for even though i don't live luxuriously, i am far more at peace since i am not paying taxes to a regime that insists on waging wars that can't be supproted by fact or document, and has many great plans for the alaskan wildlife preserve (notice the word 'preserve' interesting concept, that) and many other sacred lands and forests in the US (and beyond!!!) including, but i'd imagine not limited to; wide-scale excavation, mining and drilling, as well as ecologically damaging forestry... did i mention the destruction of wildlife as well? including MANY endangered species....

and i'd imagine the biggest point that could prove my innosense (<--sp??) of hypocrisy would be the one point that i've attempted to make here in my two posts... is that the consumerist, big-brother, 'bad guys' versus 'good guys'(and which are which?), cash over diplomacy, all at the people's expense regime we all see as our government is not only fleecing the nation itself but millions of people all across the world.... can you imagine that even the smallest product you buy would be contributing to the corruption and degradation of not only our world, but the second and third as well? believe it, kids-this isn't fanatical hippie propaganda, this is shit that can not only be backed up, but is the topic of daily discussion and even many news reports here in Amsterdam (and of course the rest of Europe).... SO... the only hypocrites i would dare to point a finger at would be the ones to vote (or not vote) and throw up their hands, only to go back to their consumerist lifestyle, the one that keeps this machine rolling, (oh and did i happen to mention the 82 Billion-or maybe more than that- of our hard earned dollars that will go to fund this war... and not only from our own pockets, but the pockets of our kids, and grandkids.... and possibly even further)... and forget the thousands of American soldiers (can you beleive the American news is lying to you? or maybe European news is lying to me, but the number mysteriously increased ten-fold from 1,000 US boys dead-from fox- to almost ten thousand as read in a London newspaper- as soon as i got here to holland)... are you really prepared to tolerate this? I wasn't, so i left because no one will listen, or sigh in stoned apathy only to say "well what can we do" .... to be honest, I don't know.... maybe what i did, maybe something bigger.... but if you all don't realise the truth and open your eyes on your own, even John Kerry can't save you....

oh and did i mention i am a highschool dropout?? ;-)

So your saying, if your dont like the government here, drop out of school, and move to Europe.

Thats about the dumbest idea I have ever heard.

There is such things as writing your senators, congressman, even the president. Getting jobs where information is more readily availible to you, so you can be closer to "the truth." If everyone who didn't like this country moved out, all we would have here are the fucking happy hardcore bible thumpers, and the military. (that would suck alot since im in the military.)

We need diversity here in america, that is what stimulates change. We can't expect immediate change, change takes time to happen.

If you just move out and don't fight for what you believe for (envoronmental issues, I saw in your above post) Then you dont belong here anyway.

I got it from a bird a couple of days ago that one of the professors at my school is busily making arrangements for herself as well as several students to up and move to France. I feel betrayed and abandoned. While it was rather glorious to run around and stamp for change before, now that it didn't go as planned, just up and run away? As far as I'm concerned then you have just removed your license to criticize by doing so. That's like being in a protest and they're all amped up, then the fecal hits the fan, you turn around and realize that you're the only one left standing there. Meanwhile back at the ranch they're bitching about how you didn't fight hard enough.

Here's something else, because I'm not committing myself to the doomed theory. In the years to come I think we're going to see changes the world over that are drastic. I honestly believe that there are segments of the population who will 'wake up' from their slumber through dire circumstances. Who's going to be there when they do? I hope that some of the clearer minds in this country can come together for some sort of solution in the long run. I'm inclined to agree that if you just up and move across the ocean and all you do is gripe then we didn't need you anyway. But, if you want to move back and help us out, by all means do so.

    College Grads = Intelligence.

Scuse me while I laugh, puke and cry at the same time lol ;)

No, sorry, I returned to College late in life and honestly some of the stupidest, most socially retarded/fucked up people I knew were College students with perfectly good Grades.

Honestly and with no personal bias i can tell you this - The average 'uneducated' Janitor in that school was FAR WISER than 75% of those students.

Nah, its not about being 'Educated' because for all we know - that only means you took 5 years of philosophy and feminist literature at some culty college.
Or a 'Charismatic' College for that matter.

People voted for Bush because he is a good leader and has done a good job.
They didnt vote for Kerry because they discovered he says anything he needs to for votes.

People dont like someone who will do or say anything when they need to.

Bush is also much more amusing to watch.

it has nothing to do with running away, but has everything to do with the fact that this undercurrent lies MILES deeper than even Mr. President himself, and if YOU ALL educated yourselves (the one's that haven't grasped my point yet) by maybe checking out www.michaelmoore.com or www.adbusters.org you could come back to this discussion again to tell me that my congressmen can do something about this! Give me a fucking break! It's a protest in your daily life, to the smallest thing you do, taking into concern how even that tiny movement can affect thousands (maybe millions) of people.... something like taking a shit, for example... a daily, normal process that continues to deteriorate our fragile eco-system... but you see how i'm not recommending that you stop taking shits (a little ridiculous, eh?) in the same as i am not asking everyone to flee... not only impossible, but stupid considering, ours is (actually) a great nation worth fighting for, but not in the way our nation is fighting now...

I can only pray that people decide to make these changes in their lives, and even though I have chosen to develop that lifestyle thousands of miles away, my loyalty will always lie with what our country is SUPPOSED to stand for.... and i know many more can see it possible.... and enough of them can make it possible that it isn't so neccessary for me to be there-i'm doing my part by not.... not consuming mass-produced American goods (food) and other mass-produced goods that lend more and more dollars to the people who really lead our nation (Think, Sony, Phillips, Toyota, Mitsubishi, etc...)... refusing to patronise establishments that show blatant disregard for environmental and human(e) practices... c'mon people, it isn't THAT damn hard or out of this world to ask.... watch the moster start to crumble, and wonder where all of those juicy consumer dollars are goin-where they were always meant to go-back into the hands of the people that earn it...

This isn't insanity, really.... not so difficult to grasp... and never once will i claim to be perfect or to have even some of the answers... all i can tell is that if things continue with the momentum that they've gained, we all have a glum future to look forward to... not to mention our kids, and their future generations.... mark my words ;-)

there's also the very basic fact the the 'liberal elite" spent entirely too much time completely ignoring the christians and fly-over states in this country. now they're completely shocked and appalled that all those people they spent so much time riduculing said "fuck you." getting out the vote got out a lot of republican voters, too. i was amazed to see in my town huge crowds of teenagers supporting bush and rallying voters. how could so many people go so completely ignored? how could so many people vote republican just to spite 'hollywood?" you'd be shocked how many times i heard it said that someone was voting bush because they're just totally sick of uber liberals. the dem party forgot that many people were hit too hard and fast with the gay marriage issue. it was never discussed at all until 6 months ago, but suddenly the courts threw it at people and too many had a knee-jerk reaction. so know a vast group of people are being ignored because they're percieved as trying to steal the country.

whatever you may feel about those inbred bible-thumpin country fucks, you still gotta listen to them sometimes. they still get a vote.

You know that's actually true, I've seen that alot of people voted Republican just to say fuck you to all the celeberties out there. I don't think it was really enough to make a difference though, but I remember 1 guy on the BBC on the forum when asking people why they voted for Bush, he said "I don't like Bush at all, but I hate Michael Moore, that's why I voted Bush"
